5 years ago today we met Poppy at @animaldefenseleague in San Antonio, looking for a #supportdog . It was literally love at first sight. Took her home that day, and she's been at my side since. She reminds me to take my meds, puts me to bed when I'm ill, makes me sit down when I'm about to fall, and communicates so well it's eerie. We have success stories… And then we have SUCCESS stories… Bea…. Not only has a super committed dog mom… But Bea has LITERALLY become an ambassador for shelter dogs. That is not an exaggeration. Every year on gotcha day Bea’s mom brings pizza for volunteers and staff… And we get to see Bea in the parking lot. Every year Bea & I visit her shelter to say "Thank You" to all of the volunteers with pizza & sweets.
