Their conversation drifted over the crowd easily. “Come on, Viggo, just try somethin’ a little different fer once.” The older man nudged him. “These people know what they’re doin’ with coffee. Ya’d be surprised how creative a barista can get.”

Viggo scoffed. “The only creativity baristas possess is as wannabe art majors in need of stable income. I wouldn’t trust a single one of them to make so much as an Americano without the proper guidance.”

There it is. He can be so pretty because he’s a judgemental asshole. Hiccup schooled his face into a neutral expression as the two approached the register. “I’ll have you know I’m actually a STEM major.” He clipped impatiently as Viggo approached with a sour expression. 

“How nice for you. Do you have nothing better to do than eavesdrop on people’s conversations?”

“Well, you walked into my job, presumably to be my customer, so… no, I don’t actually.”

The older man beside Viggo turned away, coughing into his hand if only to hide a startled snort. He muttered something that had Viggo’s scowl deepen as he cast a hard look to his companion. 

Hiccup wasn’t sure what exactly had come over him, but he was already in this deep. “You’re one of those recipe people, aren’t you? With the exact count of flavor pumps, a specific temperature, and like a milk ratio, I bet. You get the same drink order every time.”

Satisfaction curled in his chest at the sheer offense glittering in the man’s eyes as he stood straighter and clasped his hands behind his back. “Is there something wrong with knowing what I like?”

“Not at all.” Hiccup replied with a smirk. “Just boring.”

“Boring you say? And what would you deem to be a non boring drink?”

“Well, I see all kinds of strange orders here.” Hiccup hummed and turned to the register. “... I bet, I can make a drink even you can’t find fault with.”

The man all but bristled at the challenge but something strange sparked in his eyes. It was a quick spark that Hiccup easily would have missed if they hadn’t been staring each other down in their silent battle of wills. “Very well. If you can make an adequate enough drink, I’ll apologize and give a handsome tip. If it’s bad, I get my usual order, made to my exact specifications, for free.”

“Deal.” Hiccup rang him in and then turned to his companion. “And what can I get for you?”

The older was fighting the amusement from his face and cleared his throat. “Ya know what, kid? Make two of whatever yer plannin’ on.”

Hiccup grinned and rang up both orders, then turned and pulled down the ingredients. White chocolate, vanilla, cinnamon, and began the process of grinding and brewing the espresso. He pressed the grounds into the funnel and clicked it into the espresso machine, then grabbed the oat milk and some half and half. The drinks came together quickly, and he topped them both with whipped cream, a drizzle of white chocolate sauce, and a generous sprinkle of cinnamon before carrying his finished masterpiece over to the counter.

“Here we are, I’m told it’s basically a cinnamon roll in a cup.”

“You’re told? You’ve never tried it for yourself?”

“I prefer my coffee black.”

The man’s lips parted with what would have surely been another retort but the older man he was with groaned. “Just drink the bloody thing!”

He grumbled to himself and picked up the concoction, meeting Hiccup’s cocky smirk with a stern glare as he took a slow sip of the drink. He paused, took another, then huffed. “It’s adequate.” With that, he paid with a 100% tip and walked away.

The older man took his own, sipped it with a frown and sighed. “Damn sweet tooth…” he reached for his wallet and pulled out a few bills. “Don’t worry kid, ya did good, that’s Viggo fer ‘I like it’.” He handed them over and left to join him at his table. 

Hiccup heaved a relieved sigh as the two walked away. “Service workers one, customers… eh. More than I’ve counted.” He turned to clean up the steamer and put away the ingredients. “Good thing my manager wasn’t here to see that…”

Viggo pulled into the parking lot of Coop’s favorite coffee shop and sighed. He still hadn’t quite gotten over his encounter with that young barista a few days ago. He’d been having a bad enough day already, and that man opted to play with fire. It worked out in the end… 

Coop smirked. “Maybe that kid’ll be on shift again today. Gonna let him experiment again?”

Viggo scoffed. “He made one decent drink. It was a fluke.”

“Whatever ya say.” 

Coop thankfully dropped it as they walked in and got in line. As luck would have it, the young man was behind the counter. Viggo flicked his gaze to the metal nametag clasped to the brown apron and hummed. The man’s name was Hiccup… he’d remember that for when he needed to file a complaint on employee conduct. 

Just as they stepped up to the counter, a young girl came up to Hiccup behind the counter, looking distressed as she tugged his sleeve. He turned to her and Viggo frowned as she whispered something in his ear and showed him a coffee cup. Hiccup’s expression twisted into a flicker of horror before a devilish grin crossed his face. 

“I’ll handle it, don’t worry.” He took the coffee from her hand and abandoned the register and marched over to the opposite counter with purpose in his long stride. Viggo admired the fluid motion in his slim figure before he set the cup on the counter and slammed his hands down. “I have a vanilla latte for the weirdo that’s trying to make a teenager call them DADDY!” He shouted, loud enough for the entire shop to hear.

Silence descended upon the store as everyone looked around, expressions torn between shock and horror. Viggo watched in awe of the young man before turning to scan the crowd for the foul perpetrator. The silence was deafening.

“Vanilla latte for Daddy!” Hiccup called again with that same self satisfied expression when Viggo caught sight of a man that appeared to be in his late twenties trying to sneak for the door. 

Viggo stepped out of line and snatched him by the arm. “You wouldn’t happen to be the owner of that coffee, would you?” He asked with a charming smile as the shop’s attention turned towards them. “I’d hate for you to forget your drink.”

The man’s eyes widened and he quickly wrenched his arm free and bolted for the exit. Whispers descended upon the crowd and Hiccup shrugged and pulled the sleeve off the cup before handing it back to the girl. “Here, consolation prize.” 

“Thanks, Hiccup…”

“Don’t mention it.” Hiccup patted her on the shoulder and returned to the register with a pleasant smile. “What can I get for you two today?”

Viggo watched him carefully, amusement glittering in his expression as he took in the prideful young man with newfound respect. The way he delighted in putting that man in his proper place was something Viggo could appreciate. He imagined the boy didn’t take anything lying down. “Surprise me.”

Viggo became one of Hiccup’s favorite regulars after that day. There was almost never a shift he worked anymore where he didn’t see him. Sometimes he was dressed in a suit, and other times he looked fresh from the gym, with hair still a little wet from the shower, and his t-shirt straining under bulged muscles. 

He would always get his drink and then take a seat at the bar with either a book in his hand or his laptop out in front of him. When things were slow they would chat while Hiccup cleaned and restocked, interrupted only by the occasional customers. Hiccup started finding himself wishing for those slower shifts just so he could better enjoy his time with Viggo. 

Today was one of those slower days, and Hiccup lounged against the counter, bored out of his mind as he watched the only other customers in here with him. A couple of his fellow students from the college a few blocks away, buried in their laptops and notebooks. Before his mind could drift to his own classes, he heard the door chime and perked up when Viggo stepped inside, in his neatly pressed suit. 

“Your usual?” He asked playfully, already reaching for the coffee beans. 

“Naturally.” Viggo approached the counter with a charming smile and pulled out his card while Hiccup got the drink ready. “It appears you’ve had a relaxing day.”

Hiccup snorted and set the espresso to brew. “More like boring. I could’ve used the time to study.”

“Surely a break from your studies isn’t so lamentable.”

“It would be better if I was off the clock.” He got the mug ready and called back over to Viggo. “How about you? Was your work day relaxing?”

“Hardly.” Viggo scoffed and pulled out his book. “Deadlines are quickly approaching and budgets are not balancing. It's been equitable to a spa.”

“That good, huh?” Hiccup grinned and poured the espresso into the cup and stirred in a bit of cinnamon and water. He poured the steamed milk over the coffee and slid it over the counter. He watched Viggo take a sip of the drink and bit back a small chuckle when his expression twisted. The man stood and wandered over to the coffee counter, and Hiccup watched in horrified amusement as he grabbed the sugar and proceeded to dump it into the drink.

After the first two seconds, he was biting back laughter as he went to make a new, sweeter concoction. Hiccup placed the new drink on the counter and disappeared into the back to grab a few items for restocking. When he returned, Viggo was staring at him in disapproval. 

“... What?”

“I did not order a new drink.”

“Well, you didn’t seem to be a big fan of the Americano Breve.”

“I still intend to drink it.”

Hiccup rolled his eyes fondly and nudged the other one closer. “Just take it. I’d hate for you to come all the way here and leave unsatisfied. Besides, you violated that poor coffee with the amount of sugar I watched you pour into it. Does it even have a flavor anymore?”

Viggo burst into laughter and took a sip of the new drink. “I suppose this one is more to my tastes.”

Hiccup was behind the counter with his manager, working through the endless line of customers, groaning internally when the door chimed with more people just as he managed to get the espresso machine cleaned up. His manager stepped over to the machine and began prepping a drink. 

“I’ve got this one, Hiccup, can you go get the stock list?” His manager held out a post-it.

“Uhm… sure.” Hiccup shrugged and took the note, then disappeared into the back. It didn’t take him long to gather the stock list and return to the front, where he caught sight of Viggo at the counter with his manager. 

He slid a cup over to Viggo and smiled pleasantly. “Your usual, mocha breve with whipped cream.”

Viggo clicked his tongue as he caught Hiccup’s gaze, a frown twisting his handsome features as he pulled out his card. “... I thank you for your expedience…” he bit out, paying for the drink before he went to settle at a table in the corner, instead of his usual spot at the bar. 

Hiccup watched his manager slump and heave a sigh. “He’s in a bad mood today…”

“You say that like it’s a regular occurrence," he teased as the man slumped over with a heavy sigh.

“Viggo used to only come with his coworkers, but lately he comes in on his own more often… he’s… particular about his drink. It’s the same every time. Mocha breve with three tablespoons of chocolate sauce instead of two, extra foam, and shaved chocolate on top. The milk can’t be more than 145 degrees, or it tastes burnt. The first time he came in, I had to remake it three times because the flavor profile was off. He also has… high expectations of service.”

Hiccup laughed. “That’s hard to believe. He just lets me do whatever I like.”

He yelped when his manager seized his shoulders, eyes as wide as saucers. “What do you mean you get to ‘do what you like’?!”

“I…” Hiccup looked away and shrugged. “It’s exactly as I said?... I just- make whatever and he drinks it. Sometimes he gives me restrictions, like no raspberry or no caramel or chocolate, but otherwise it’s something different every time.”

“... I hate you. Truly, I do.”

“Wow, thanks.” Hiccup rolled his eyes and shoved him off.

“I’m serious, Hiccup! He’s your problem from this moment forward.”

Hiccup groaned miserably, face down in his text book. His notebook and calculator were beside him, and a half finished equation was written out on the page while his brain slowly died. He only had about an hour left before he had to clock back in. He was supposed to have all morning to work on this, but his coworker called out again and his boss called him in. He heard a chair slide across the ground at his table and shifted to peer up at whoever had chosen to interrupt his pity session.

He was shocked to see Viggo Grimborn standing over him with amusement lighting up his otherwise stern expression. He settled in the chair and pulled out his book. “I take it your studies are going well.”

“Is that how it looks?” Hiccup peeled himself off the page and sat up with a yawn and a stretch. He reached for his coffee and frowned when he realized the cup was empty. He sighed and abandoned the cup in favor of his pencil. “I’m a better actor than I thought I was.”

Viggo snorted and leaned against the table. “I take it you’re on your break?”

“I worked a surprise double today. So I’m trying to knock out as much homework as I can. I might actually have time to sleep tonight.”

“I see. Have you eaten then?”

“Uh…”

Viggo chuckled and stood. “Say no more. While my college days are behind me, I remember what it was like. I’ll make you a deal. I will get you another coffee, on the condition you also eat a meal. Perhaps you will think clearer after that.” He didn’t even give Hiccup an opportunity to respond before he headed for the counter.

“Wait, that’s not-... and he’s gone.” Hiccup groaned and leaned back in his seat. Heat crawled up his cheeks and he glanced back down at his text book with a huff. Viggo was concerned for him… something warm swirled in his chest and before he knew it, the man was back, with a piping hot breakfast sandwich, a bowl of fruit, and a steaming black coffee.

“Your coffee order is atrocious.”

Hiccup laughed and dragged the cup closer, enjoying the fragrant smell of the bitter drink before he took a sip. “I told you I like it black.”

Viggo snorted and pushed the food closer. “Eat.”

Viggo heaved an exhausted sigh as he pulled into the parking lot of the coffee shop. Valentine’s Day… a truly exhausting day at the office. He didn’t mind all the corny heart decorations, or the exchange of chocolates, but there were ten bouquets in his back seat and a pile of letters from various ‘potential suitors’ all vying for his favor. His brother insisted he give at least a few of them a chance, that perhaps he would actually enjoy the company of at least one of them.

Viggo really wished Ryker would cease his interest in his bedroom partners. 

He walked into the shop, closing his eyes as the pleasant smell of coffee and pastries wafted throughout the room. Hiccup’s voice chimed over the crowd, bantering with one of his customers. 

That cheerful voice, just on the edge of sarcasm, allowed warmth to curl in his chest. It was an adorable sound, that chased away the exhaustion in his mind. He wondered what concoction the young man would come up with today. Would he make one of Viggo’s favorites, or would he try something new? Would it taste like fruit or caramel? Hot or cold? He’d come to love the little moment of unpredictability. 

Ever since the man challenged him with a fire in his eyes, intent on defending his honor as a barista. Or perhaps simply his honor as a person. Whatever it was, it had earned Viggo’s respect. When Viggo realized that passionate attitude extended beyond defending himself, Hiccup had far more than his respect. He had his attention.

Hiccup didn’t know it, but he also had Viggo’s affection. He found himself thinking of the man more often lately. How was his shift going? How were his studies progressing? How did he prefer to spend his free time? He spoke a bit of his friends and family, but did he have a partner? Somehow that thought brought him no comfort. 

He watched Hiccup light up when he approached the counter. “Viggo! Happy Valentine’s Day! How are you doing?”

A fond smile graced his expression as he watched Hiccup turn to begin making his order. “I’m well, thank you. I hope your day has been pleasant.”

“Of course! All the grumps are spending their time at the bar today. Today’s been a breath of fresh air.” He grinned as he turned to face Viggo, pouring the cream into his cup. “And with you here, it just got that much better.”

“I’m truly honored.” Viggo paid for the beverage and waited patiently as Hiccup placed a tray on the counter. He smiled down at the artistic rose painted atop his coffee, and quirked a brow at the little plate of chocolates next to it. “There’s a treat with this one? I don’t recall this shop selling chocolates.”

“A little holiday surprise. Let me spoil my favorite regular a little.”

“Your favorite, you say?” Viggo picked up the tray and moved to take a seat at the bar. “Very well then, if you insist.” 

The young man looked relieved when he accepted, only for his attention to immediately be drawn away by the next customer. Viggo sighed and settled in to watch him work, and smiled as a gentle, floral smell drifted from his cup. He savored the taste, immediately picking out the notes of vanilla, cardamom and rose. Viggo laughed a little and set the cup down. “How festive…” he went to grab one of the chocolates and paused when he noticed a slip of paper tucked under the plate. 

“Oh? What’s this now?” He pulled it out and flipped it open, heat creeping up his cheeks as he read the words.

Will you be my Valentine?

A small, amused laugh escaped him. He looked back up at Hiccup as he prepared another drink. “Hiccup, my dear? A moment please.”

Hiccup paused and looked over his shoulder. He smiled and popped the espresso into the machine before he wandered over. “Need something? More sugar maybe?”

“What time does your shift end today?”

He paused and his gaze flickered over to the note in Viggo’s hand. A warm smile spread across his face, lighting up his entire visage. “I’m off at four today.”

your hand in sousuke's hair, tugging gently. the other is snugly wrapped around his throat as you ride him.

he's only slightly taken aback by your little bout of spontaneity, of course, but once he settles into it he's really into it.

he's telling you to grip harder. harder still.

"more," he rasps out, his voice small while your hand constricts the sides of his neck. not crushing. just finding the right amount of pressure.

the smirk on his lips melts into a look of concentration as he tries not to finish right then and there. trying to maintain some modicum of control. he barks out orders but he's met with your lips clashing greedily against his to shut him up.

a moment passes—making incredible work with your hips and hands—and his eyes begin to flutter shut, brows knitting together, concentrating on trying not to finish.

how cute, you think to yourself. who would have thought his resolve could break so quickly with you in his lap?

suddenly he's real quiet. not silent, given the way he's panting, but close to it. you smile as you peck his lips again. you think you hear the makings of a moan after you quickly release and constrict his neck.

"what was that?" you tease, encouraging him to moan like he means it.

and he does well enough as the next roll of your hips, the next tug on his hair, and the light squeeze of your thumbs unravels him. you throw a hand over his mouth to savor the feeling of that sweet sound resonating in your palm.

you watch him jerk timidly beneath you and with another kind squeeze of his neck, you swear you can see his eyes roll back.

Y'ALL WHEN I SAW DAWN AGAIN 🥹🥹🥹 OUR QUEEEEN 🥳🥳🥳🥹🥰😭👏 SHE RETURNS TO US!!! And her being able to be there and help Maddie through :’D y'all I loved it so much <3. Also, for Marigold fans out there, this was all huge news (of them like being there together and having each other’s back and stuff). I support it 👏. I also love that we got to see more of Dawn’s intelligence and survival skills, because while she seems kind of ditzy on the surface we know our girl is very observant, and she could definitely survive (in a sense) the forest. PROUD OF HER!! SO GOOD TO SEE YOU DARLING 🥹.

AND JANETTTT AAAHH OUR GIRL 🥹🥹🥹😭🥰🥳 SHE'S OKAY AND WE SAW HER AGAIN :’DDD!! Well okay in a relative sense yk. But she's still in the forest and not stuck in a memory so I call that a win <3. And also she's slaying it down while she's there!! Her and Dawn y'all <33? My queens. I am lowkey here for Marigold but I'm not like the most ardent shipper you'll ever find for it, I just agree <3.

Okay so let's talk forest theories stuff real quick. I don't think it's a “oh crossing over is fake” thing, I think this is just the next step. They say don't go across the river or you won't come back, but I genuinely think that it's the next or even final step to actually moving on. Yeah you won't come back - won't come back /pos xD. Especially considering not only Simon’s mom was over there, but White Eyes and the kids (which was 🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹 by the way but we'll get to that later). Although I do think it's possible that that's just someone being there to welcome them rather than like, the person is just on that side of the forest if that makes sense lol. And then there's everything with the memory mirror things. I've seen a couple people mention this, and I lowkey agree with it: I think the forest is about facing the good in your life too. They face their fears and trauma and bad memories in the school, and then have to actively choose not to stay in the good memories in the forest. Kind of sucks that it seems to be a “letting go of everything” way, but it can be beautiful. And I can cope by imagining them all happy in the afterlife together lol (as opposed to just like ceasing to exist skfhdks). Anyhoo, I suppose we'll find out. But no matter what, it is super cool man :O.

Rip Kyle 😔 I hope you're off being an icon somewhere. Well frankly I just hope you're okay given everything you must be experiencing xD o.o. And speaking of the hospital/living people, Livia helping Maddie 🥺🥺 wait honestly slay. It was a bit of a quick turnaround but I appreciate that she doesn't want anybody hurt or in danger. Plus she saw her mom go absolutely crazy last night sooo lol. I'm just glad she kept Maddie safe <3 slay girl :).

SIMON AND HIS MEMORIES 😭😭😭??? Man I CAN'T do this. Kristian ate that UP 😭👏. I'm so glad Janet was able to be there to watch out for him but mannn. His eyes going white was terrifying dude. MADDIE BEING ABLE TO BRING HIM BACK THOUGH??? TO PULL HIM OUT OF THE WATER AND TO MAKE HIM REMEMBER??? GUYS I C A N ’ T DO THIS 😭😭🥺❤️. Her whole monologue there was just amazing, talking about him and all of their memories together. They are platonic soulmates and I love them so dearly ❤️❤️. I'm also so proud of them :’). ALSO THE MEMORY THEY WERE TRAPPED IN I CAN'TTTT that was SO good. The makeup and hair and costumes COOKED there too, but also just them 🥺🥺 and Wally being there to help pull Maddie out like she did for him 😭😭🥹 iconic all around. AND JUMPING THROUGH THE GLASS!! Agh iconic. Also just specifically everyone Simon knows flashing through when Maddie’s talking about them I 🥺 lovely.

And dude. The memories in the forest o.o. SEEING ALIVE WALLY?? KINDA?? Insaaane. First of all stellar vibe Wally, but also props to the props (ha) and costumes and set design and all that 👏 and the FILMING to it was just lit :OO. But also him hearing Maddie 😭😭😭🥺🥺🥺❤️?? Guys I can't even do this.

AND THEIR REUNION!!! GUYSSSS 🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹😭😭❤️👏!! MY LOVELIES <3333. THEIR RUN AND THE SLOW MO AND THE HUG AND THE KISS 🥹🥹🥹❤️❤️ GUYSSS I'm actually so not okay <333. AND THE MUSICCC?? Top tier man, always is with this show. I'm so glad they got that man 😭😭🥹🥺. Also Wally being there just to look for Simon, to look for her, to help, to find a solution. Dude the door closing behind Maddie 😦😦💔?? I actually can't. Like dude I knew it would happen but I hoped it wouldn't 😭 and it was so sudden for them like :(((. It's time to get into door theories because listen I NEED Maddie to be able to travel back and forth at will <333 like it's not necessarily EASY but I need her to be able to gang 🙏🙏. I will say, we know the doors aren't the end now, because there's the forest. I talked about the forest being the next step, which comes back into play here. These doors are just that: doors. They're not absolution or ascension, because they're not the end. They're just the next step. And though I use that phrase of course I don't mean that travelling would be going “back a step”, but I think they should be able to travel through. We've seen all the different doors are still there, and just think dude. It would be INSANE and EPIC if they could travel through to other ghost’s doors/ghost properties (as in places). And we've SEEN Van Heidt travel between people, escape bodies, go other places. My theory is that he figured out how to travel there – took his own door but maybe couldn't move on (emotionally) and pushed himself back through anger and malice instead. Also if I recall he's not dead but more like Maddie? But he might be dead idk it's been a hot second and I was never super clear on it 😭 xD. Anyway, if we have to chase him, I think it would be pretty sick if those already in the forest could help chase him across ghosts – and it would keep them involved in the plot. And Maddie being able to do it too? AUGH. Just delicious stuff.

Okay now dude. GUYS. Y'ALL!!!! THE MADDIE AND SIMON RETURN SEQUENCE I :OOOO 😮😮😮😮🤯!!! GOBS SMACKED!!! FLABBERS GASTED!!!! DUDE IT'S SO GOOOOOD UAGAHAUUHGHH!!! The editing is freaking SICK, the music is amazing and a perfect choice (the music choices in this show always SLAP 😌😌🙏), AND DUDE JUST!!! AAGGH!!! THE SYMBOLISM!!! THEY ARE BOTH FALLING BUT THEY CHOOSE TO FALL TOGETHER!!! THEY ARE ALWAYS REACHING TOWARDS EACH OTHER!!! LIKE GUYSSSSS!!!! My gosh. It was just SO well done, such a beautiful scene. Okay I'm not gonna lie I don't really remember the Ralph lore well. But Mr. Martin communicating with him 🥺🥺 AND THEN STAYING DOWN THERE 😭😭🥺?? Man that got me a bit :’)) :((. I don't know that I think they're like destroyed or anything, but it was definitely risky. We've seen how much Mr. Martin’s changed and I love that :). It also hopefully helped with some of his guilt, being able to stay with Ralph this time <3. Also the pastor too :). ALRIGHT I rewatched some of the episode and DANG I really did not remember much of this part lol 💀. Okay so WHAAATTTT RALPH IS LIKE OUT OF SYNC WITH TIME/CAN SEE THE FUTURE??? Absolutely insane 😦🥺. And he just didn't want them to be alone 😭😭😭🥺❤️💔. And they weren't :’). MANNNN 😭😭❤️!!! My question is, was it destined to happen anyway and he just sent Mr. Martin there/any time it happened, orrr was it more like destines for him to send people through which would cause the death time loop style? Idk lol, presumably the first but xD. And him and the passport being friends 🥺🥺. Love <33. AND THEN THE PASTOR PROTECTING THEM 😭😭🥺?? And it was similar to how Simon got knocked out D’:. Now I'm not sure if I noticed this at the time, but I'm assuming that basically just finally killed him since he was living (well kinda) stuck like Simon was. Though for Ralph it was that Van Heidt stole his body, right? I can't recall and I'm not rewatching other episodes lol. But man, that just sucks :((. I hope Ralph and Mr. Martin are both okay D:.

Okay so guys. CHURIIIIIII 🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥺🥺❤️❤️😭😭😭🥰🥰👏!!!! GUYS I LOVE THEM SO MUCH UAAAGRAGHRH <3333!!! FIRST OF ALL THEIR SCENE OF CHARLEY JUST WANTING TO CHECK IN WITH AND LISTEN TO YURI 🥺🥺🥺🥺???! AND THE HAND HOLDING :’DDD???? GUYSSS GET ME OUT HEREEEE!!! I love them so much I'm not okay <333. I love Charley just trying his best and Yuri being like really I don't need to talk right now lol. They're learning to communicate my babies 🥺❤️ and they're doing GREAT 😤 <333. And MAN the way they look at each other!!! They're so in love it's ridiculous :’))). I was just losing it the whole time lol. Also “can we still hold hands sometimes?” I 😭😭😭😭😭✋❤️❤️❤️💔🥰 I CAN'T I LOVE THEM SO MUCH <3333 🥺🥺🥺🥺❤️🥹!!! They make me so sick /pos. And the way we can't see it on screen but you can tell that they're holding hands 🥹🥹. My gosh the lovelies <3. ALSO YURIII SKFJDKS. “That's not the only thing we can do that doesn't require words” SIR XD I support it lol <333. Also Yuri getting a little offended (lightheartedly) when Charley stops because of the smell of gasoline 🥺😭 stop they're adorable. And speaking of o.o DUDE getting to go from an emotional lovely churi conversation to them discovering an important and dangerous issue?? Huge. Love it.

And y'all o.o. I was already pretty dang suspicious of the Superintendent lol, but UAGH that moment of reveal was SO GOOD 👏👏!! I don't think I'd already figured out but I got it when she saw them I'm pretty darn sure. The urgency and churi going is already delicious but then HER SPEAKING TO THEM?? Ohhh my gosh. Absolutely iconic 🙌. I remember I'd had to stop watching the episode for the night or smth right after that and I had so many blorbo thoughts about that moment of reveal lol. Agh, just so well done :O. Charley and Yuri’s faces of shock, and then her realizing what she did – 👏. OH RIGHT AND THE RING!!!! It actually might've been the ring that I got immediately o.o I'm not sure lol. But again just such a good use of it and way to lead us through/to the conclusion just enough. Also combining our villains completely (on the same side lowkey but she wasn't really aware of it all yk) was lowkey crazy but great lol. Also I was SO SCARED of what might happen to Charley and Yuri there o.o. Because we didn't know (honestly maybe even still don't) if she can harm/affect ghosts while possessing someone. Anyway, would've been epic angst but thank goodness she just left lol.

And then the gang seeing her set the fire :O O.O 👏 OHH my gosh, iconic. Setting up the urgent issue for their side of the rest of the episode, everybody together, the DRAMA, the ANGST!! And of course the shock O.O though we already had the gasoline so I knew what was coming but 😬😬. A great scene for real 👏. Also though Superintendent Van Heidt, INSANE thing to do o.o xD. Like ik you are but just wild work.

I love seeing the ghosts work together (and also panic and run >:) ) with the plan, and the DRAMA augh, just so good. I knew the library being the drop point would be useful and YES aahgh they did it so well. I also love that it was Quinda <333. A) I love them 🤭, B) they cooked it up, C) Rhonda who loves yelling and Quinn a band kid can get attention slfjdk, and D) they were both silenced in life and in legacy, but not anymore :’). Also just love that they got to go through the angst together 😌😌. Oh and Mr. Martin was there sjdkls /silly xD. Forgot lowkey. But honestly yeah like him staying with Ralph 🥺🥺🥺😭 MANNN don't even get me started 🥺🥺🥹. He wouldn't leave him this time <333 (flashbacks to Ahsoka and Anakin. .). I don't think this is the end for them given that their ghosts, but if it was I think it was a good way for Mr. Martin to go out. Finally going back to the root/beginning of his guilt, being honest and out there and selfless. And he's a teacher - staying with a kid :’) <3. He was NOT at all perfect, and pretty lowkey evil sometimes, but he did good in his life and death :). I do hope he isn't gone though xd. Anyway him staying with Ralph was just so sweet 😭😭🥺.

But yeah Quinda ATE with their warning 👏👏 yelling to get the gang in gear, YES listen to them :DD! Also them getting to have that moment of sight and recognition with Claire and Nicole 🥹 LOVELY!!! Especially our girls and Quinn <333 (not grouping Quinn in with the girls just saying not the guys, but also like “sidekicks” who have come into their own). Such an awesome moment :DD. I was just screeching lol. AND JUST AGGHH THEY WERE SEEN!!! LIVINGS SAW THEM AND A L O T OF THEM!!! So sick, and could have wild repercussions o.o I assume it'll just be brushed off in the shuffle, and it's not like I'm expecting people to automatically recognize or remember them as ghosts or something lol, but a little confusion or intrigued would be awesome to see maybe 👀.

ALSO THE PASTOR GETTING TO PASS ON AND BE WITH THE CHILDREN AGAIN 🥺🥺🥺😭😭❤️💔🥹🥹!!?! AND THEM BEING HAPPY AND WHOLE ACROSS THE RIVER TOGETHER I CAN'T 😭😭😭🥺❤️. He was watching over them for so long, trying to comfort while also suffering and losing his memories and being broken down (even looking scary), but he finally got to move on :’). Truly pass in the first place, even, since if I recall correctly (again I really need to check back on the lore stuff because even right after watching I was a bit confused on some pieces lol - haven't gone back to edit the other part yet as of writing this xD if I even get around to it slfjdk) he was like Simon, not truly dead. I'm just so happy for him, and then <3333. They're safe and happy 🥹🥹❤️.

Dude they seriously burned that school o.o like plot wise xD wasn't just a tiny fire like they were BURNING that thing lol o.o. And speaking of,

Okay but backtrack real quick lol. I love the scene of everybody going on their paths, to the church and to go deal with the fire (though I was again terrified that they would try and deal with Van Deb - would've been amazing for angst of course 😌). Just AGH again the urgency, them working as a team, the cinematography!! Lovely stuff.

And then UAAAAHHHHHHH CHARLEYYYY I'M SO PROUD OF YOU 😭😭😭😭🥺🥺🥹🥰❤️👏👏!!! He seriously did so good on his scar, I was so scared (and loving the angst) but him just brushing past everything for the sake of the mission and the school/everyone's lives and deaths I 🥹🥹. Get me out of here mannn <33. Side note, I love that they really were doing it for the livings. Who knows what would happen to them, maybe they'd cease to exist, but the people in the school were still alive. They just wanted to save them 🥺 <3. Anyway, Charley’s scar with the smoke especially was just AGH delicious. Also I of course love Yuri supporting him <33. I was also thinking of bringing the water through a scar so I was like YES when they thought of it too (and slayyy for Yuri’s figuring it out coming into play!)!!! Fascinating implications for the fact that the water did end up helping (WHOOOO!! 🥳🥳👏🥹), like maybe it's not just making stuff stay not reset in the ghost world, but letting them effect the real world - perhaps it's just that is messes with/blurs the boundaries there. Which- you know, we'll get back to that later xD.

Anyway THE I LOVE YOUUUU GUYSSS 🥹🥹🥹😭❤️👏 I love them so much oh my gosh. Just them fighting the fire by each other's side, and Yuri’s LOOK at Charley 🥹🥹😭 and Charley getting caught by his gaze when he glances up and I 🥺🥺🥺. “I really love you” UAAAHHHHHHH 😭😭😭😭🥺🥺 ALSO YURI FEELING SOMETHING SERIOUS AFTER SO LONG ALONE AND RELATIONSHIPS THAT HE WASN'T SERIOUS ABOUT AND COMMUNICATING AND I AUGH <33333!!!! I'M SO HAPPY FOR AND PROUD OF HIM 😭😭❤️. Charley's shock, his little laugh, looking like he's tearing up 🥺🥺🥹, “You have terrible timing” AHHHH a little bit of silly and it lightens the situation and it's so THEM :’DD like Charley deflecting a little bit skdjlfs. But then he lets it, he lets Yuri in, he says “I love you too” :’)))). AAAAAHHHHHHHH <3333 h u g e. I'm so proud of and happy for him (too) <3. And the way they look at each other afterwards guuyyyss 😭😭😭❤️ I am not okay <333. I love them so much :’))). Stellar moments for them this episode overall <33 I'm just so proud of them and happy for them, I know I already said it but I don't care :). They were great this episode <3.

Y'allll that confrontation was so good O.O my GOSH. Van Deb appearing first as an outline and then walking in through the smoke with the lighting from the fire (I was gonna say fire lighting which either way it IS my gosh props to the set and lighting crews and everybody 👏👏). They are actually insane though 😳. I'm really interested to learn more about why Van Heidt hates it so much besides just being racist, like that ring and whatever surrounded it definitely had something to do with it. Also go off Xavier and Maddie calling him out 👏👏 iconic. Oh and the LAYERINGGG?? The voice layering transitioning into Van Heidt OOGHHH that was so good 👏. I am curious if Maddie was seeing Van Heidt or just us (and I doubt Xavier was lol). Anyway, the threats o.o uhh NOT good not gonna lie xd. Y'all have angered the 150 year old powerful evil racist xd unfortunate 😭. Also props to Van Heidt’s actor and PROPS 👏 TO 👏 MS. 👏 JENNIFER 👏 TILLY!!! She's been amazing this whole season but my GOSH was she good at being totally unhinged and insane lol. Also I took would feel nervous if she was walking up to me like that, even if the school wasn't on fire and I didn't know she was a murderous ghost lol.

YESSSSSS SIMON TAKING HER OUT 👏👏👏👏👏🥳🥳🥳💪 WHOOOOOOOO!!!! XD That was so ICONIC!!! AND YESSS WHOOOOOOO HE'S BACK 🥹🥹🥹🥹😭👏👏🥳!!! OUR KING RETURNS <333! And with amazing timing to knock them out too XD. Side note I love me he/she/them/maybe even it pronouns for Van Deb slfkds, especially because I know he would hate it 😌😌. Anyway, yes Simon :DD. AND A LIVING REUNION HUG 🥹🥹🥹😭👏❤️❤️❤️. GUYS IT'S THE FIRST TIME THEY'VE BOTH BEEN ALIVE AND GOTTEN TO HUG EACH OTHER IN WEEKS :’))) And it's felt SO much longer lol. I just know it can't quite be the same as in the forest (though not necessarily better/worse just like it's your BODY you know). They have each other back man :’). Also Xavier immediately going to go get help lol, our king <33. And he found it :D ayy 👏! Then Van Heidt’s shadow back in the smoke O.O SO good man :O 😦👏👏 but so scary given the implications xD.

I am so glad everyone's okay 😭. I mean they've been threatened to have their lives destroyed but uhh O.O xd. Also Xavier and his dad 🥹🥹. That hug was great <333. And seems like we've got another parent who knows o.o 👀! That'll be interesting for sure. Hopefully it's more helpful than not - I do think he can be pretty useful, we just have to hope he's not too overprotective slfkdk. Anyway, the moment was really great :’)). Good for them ❤️❤️. Also uh how are the other ghosts doing o.o. Fern and Sarah and Elliot might have gotten out but I'm a little worried about Mina gang 💀 o.o. The band is probably fine xd. Hopefully they were all in untouched parts of the school nonetheless lol 😳. I just hope they're okay man 😭. Glad we got the bigger mentions of them earlier this season though :D hopefully one day we see them again :)).

Our gang coming together at the end 🥹. And their first time WITH the whole group all together :O. I know they'll have their issues but I'm so excited to see the whole gang working together next season :)). And hopefully they'll all get to have a little more connection with the ghosts since they've all at least seen ghosts 🥰. But yeeahhh I'm worried about Van Heidt o.o. I feel like it'll be more like reputation and personal than literally trying to kill them but. It'll also be interesting to see how he feels about Claire with her Finnish heritage o.o! Stressful 😬 but I'm super excited :).

Just to make sure they're alright and quickly update them <3 I just love that she thinks of them still - like those are her friends too :’)). Also they were all lowkey slaying their different poses in the bus stop slfkdj. Also smart of them all to wait there specifically since they can talk to Maddie there 👏. Again wondering how the other ghosts are doing xD. Anyway I'm glad they're all okay <33. Maddie having to mourn people all over/in a new way is so rough too :(( my poor girl. I'll talk more about that in a second but just 😭.

By the way I do hope that Deb doesn't want anything to do with these plans anymore when she comes back (I presume she's still at the hospital?) xD maybe she just has community service by plea of insanity LOL (I actually wrote that in a little narration about the school burning thing that I didn't finish lol).

I personally normally headcanon that the ghosts can sleep sometimes they just don't need to/it's difficult but the idea that they can't and this would make them is great xD. Rhonda leaving out a bit about Mr. Martin :( I do hope he's okay - obviously they weren't still as close with him as they were with Wally, but we already saw how hard that was for them <3. And for Mr. Martin’s sake that he at least moved on lol. Also Rhonda smoking with Yuri would be iconic 👏 I need to see it lol. And then. Y'all O.O.

All of their shock was again ENTIRELY understandable, and so good lol. It's about to be INSANE y'all o.o.

My personal theory/idea is that the fire did literally burn it down – but also kind of not literally, if that makes sense lol. The trauma of the fire creating a new boundary is also a possibility :o! But personally I'm thinking that it was burning in both worlds – possibly because Van Deb set it, human but with a ghost in their body 👀? And his extra powerful travelling abilities. Charley and Yuri’s water could affect it, which means it was in the ghost world, and it was after making the water permanent that it worked, blurring that line already. I don't know exactly, but it's veeery interesting O.O. I'm excited to see where our gang can go :D. If I remember more of my specific wording later I'll come back or make another post.

Maddie and Simon seeing a horror movie together 🥹🥹 augh, good for them <33. But Maddie missing Wally 😭😭😭🥺💔 my gosh :’( she really has to mourn all over again. And like she lived (well. ha) with these people, you know? Spent near constant time with them for weeks. It's just rough, and I understand why it's a struggle :(((. AND THEN. AUUAGAGHHHHH. VAN SANDRA!!!! 😤😤😤😭😭😭. I knew before the reflection, maybe at the ring? But the ring and window reveal was SO GOOD augh. Also the SONGGGGG MY GOSH 😦😦😦😦😦💔😭 I WAS ALREADY TRAUMATIZED BY THIS SONG BY THE GOOD DOCTOR I CAN N O T DO THIS AGAIN!!! Anyway, so the Van Heidt attacks will definitely be personal, at least some xd. Like on a more personal than physical level. Also, where did he get Sandra? I assume she stayed at the hospital and he travelled back over there in his own? Or maybe she came to pick Maddie up that night? I don't know, strange :O. But certainly gonna have me tweaking 😭 xD.

Overall, I really enjoyed this episode!! And this season as a whole. There's a lot of characters so it can be difficult to squeeze in an arc or storyline for everybody, but I think they managed it :). Not perfect, and some obviously had much more focus, but everybody had a little something, which I loved! There was so much mystery and love and silliness and tension o.o and just AGH it was lovely!! This episode especially was WILD, but I really loved how they closed off (with still openings for next season obviously) a lot of the plots :D. INSANE for sure, but I had an amazing time :)).
