Did you know that this charming white dress with pale blue stripes was worn by Lily James as Lady Rose MacClare in 𝑫𝒐𝒘𝒏𝒕𝒐𝒏 𝑨𝒃𝒃𝒆𝒚 in the 2012 season, wasn’t made for her?   It’s true! The piece was spotted in 1991 on Louise Lombard as Evangeline Eliott in 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑯𝒐𝒖𝒔𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝑬𝒍𝒊𝒐𝒕𝒕, but it almost certainly originated with the 1986 made-for-television movie 𝑨𝒏𝒂𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒔𝒊𝒂: 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑴𝒚𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒚 𝒐𝒇 𝑨𝒏𝒏𝒂, where Amy Irving wore it as Anna Anderson, though it is also entirely possible that the piece is an original vintage garment.   Find out where else this costume has been worn at Bit.ly/PostEd064
