Girl Mudpaw aside, I don't know why nobody has commented on poor Dustpaw's strangely hairy face. It must be extremely noticeable if it's in the allegiances; I'm just imagining him and his (I assume) sister leaving the nursery and everyone being polite but silently thinking "what's up with the tom's face fur? Was he sired by a catfish?"
Dustpaw has hypertrichosis, which is basically when an animal or human grows a lot of hair in a very hardcore density. With animals, it largely shows up on their heads and faces, and we wanted to use that here to reference Dustpaw's canon name, Whiskernose, and the implications it can carry.

Whiskernose? Yeah they're supposed to go there
One of the Dark Forest trainees, he retires from his injuries after the Great Battle despite being very young. The injuries are never specified so he has chronic pain in his hips and he can't walk steadily because of his tendons were ripped up around his haunches, and he was also half blinded.
He looked up to Breezepelt a lot and tried to model his behaviour after him, being aggressive towards outsiders, but his heart was never really in it lol. He used to be really indignant and desperate to prove himself. He's mellowed out a lot since moving to the elders' den and likes to make jokes about himself being soooooo old and wise
He faced a lot of judgement for retiring young after being a dark forest trainee (even though it was mostly Onestar's choice). Cats whispered about him taking up resources that could be given to the loyal elders. He felt a lot a guilt about it but there wasn't anything he could do to prove his loyalty besides be kind and patient, even when he was angry or annoyed. Years later, he's still alive and a generally beloved Clanmate :)
