her chest heaves as it explores to its' heart's content — research, she'd insisted, with her lip caught between her teeth as she'd guided their hand to her by the wrist. that had been some time ago; minutes or hours, elodie has lost count entirely. the worn leather of their gloves has warmed significantly. now, it is no longer the cool touch that draws goose bumps across her thighs, her ribcage, her sternum, but it's touch alone. a wholly earnest and honest reaction to them and the want that glows beneath the surface of her, alongside the anchor, and the ever-present buzzing of awareness that only warden and darkspawn know.

she knows it knows, too. because that ringing between her ears, once a wild and noisy thrashing, thrums as one in time with her pulse as though satiated with their shared proximity. the sound like that of a wild animal's contented purr. 

and, oh, is she content.
