A trip to the Philippines by my U.S. based niece or nephews often includes some frolicking at Boracay. The same was true when Shane found a break from his military duties to come over for a visit in 2011. So Sean and I took him to the beach to enjoy some Philippine sun, sand and sea. This time around though, we included in our itinerary a 20-minute boat trip to Crystal Cove, a quiet resort that has become a popular island-hopping destination. A distance away from the maddening crowds of the main island, Crystal Cove offers some unique views, and so we took a leisurely walk and posed for some snaps. During a previous visit with Monique, we brought some grilled meats and fresh fruit for a picnic is one of the resort’s huts. Maybe Shane, Sean, and I should have done the same. But part of our plan for the vacay was to have no plan. So there.
