It's not all so bad.
This is a long one. So to whoever actually pushes through, thank you.
To anyone that actually follows my posts, I appreciate you. Thank you for following my journey of pure chaos. To those who are just popping in, welcome. You might need to catch up before you continue reading the rest of this post.
Life is messy. I don't care who you are, what your life goals are, your accomplishments, where you come from. Life. Is. Messy. And up until now I have done nothing but emphasize the messy part. Don't get me wrong. Every single bit of traumatic experience I have written about still sits in my mind and I think about it frequently. Almost like a parasite that just won't disappear.
But the good. Oh, there's so much good. I could go on and on about the memories, the feels, the good vibes. But still end up spiraling with the bad. But at some point through all of it, I realized at those moments I was weak. I claimed to be so strong but I wasn't. I am still full of fear. Full of fear of losing everything. The love of my life. The person I never knew it was possible to love in the way I do. Getting through school and accomplishing and succeeding. Falling in love again with the hobbies again I once loved so much. Being a better parent. And even loving and taking care of myself. But that made me realize how much stronger I can be. How much more room I have for improvement and how I can yearn for this life I desire so much.
I once made a post about not taking the picture with my love at my graduation. One of the many posts that bother me more than most. I thought it was a sign. A sign of guilt and a sign of revolting. But now I realize maybe it wasn't, and it was only a sign that my presense beside him was more important to me. Maybe that's a sign of connection, not a failure.
Ready to navigate this life, even at 28 years old. Navigate my relationships, my hobbies, my parenting journey, and overall;
Navigating myself.
It's not all so bad. Shit happens. Life happens. And although it might be one hell of a ride, sometimes when you look around it seems better than you could even ever imagine. I does get better.
