✨🌟⭐️ What is art? After many years of study, I’ve come to believe that this question is almost impossible to answer. But at the same time, I know art when I see it. Art is complex, challenging, wondrous, inspiring and dangerous. My favorite works of art have forced me to look at the world in a different way. I’m not yet sure if my YouTube experiments can be considered art, it’s so outside the traditions that I learned as an art student. I’m not content with the simple answer of “Well, I’m an artist and I call it art therefore it is Art.” For now I am learning to live in the space of not really knowing. Writing around this work at the time implies it may have been SITE SPECIFIC to its original, commissioned location at St Georges Square. However, since it has been (and was at all able to be) moved to UWA it may be considered SITE ADJUSTED.
