Harry's Military Claims
Prince Harry's former Army instructor has been left "staggered" by the royal's account of one of their training flights, insisting the Duke
From the article:
"The Duke of Sussex wrote in his memoir 'Spare' that former Sergeant Major Michael Booley deliberately stalled their Slingsby T67 Firefly propeller plane without warning, but he [Booley] insisted that wasn't the case because "every single aspect" of the trip would have been mapped out beforehand."
Former Sgt Major Booley is confirming here that every aspect of Harry's time in the military was controlled and monitored. Confirmation #1,001 that Harry is a paranoid poop prone to straying from factual truth. One who has with his ghostwriter given himself an out by claiming a drugged-out faulty memory in case things don't add up with reality.
UPDATE:
Apparently, the paranoid poop aspect was not intended. As noted below Booley is a professional.
My opinion: While the press may (likely did) cherry pick Sgt Major Booley's comments, they probably did not misquote what they put in quotes, e.g., the part about "every single aspect" of the trip would have been mapped out beforehand. Booley is caught between a rock and a hard place: Harry's account quoted in the article directly from "Spare" puts Booley and the military in an uncomplimentary light, while Booley doesn't want to put his then-commander-in-chief's grandson and fellow soldier in a bad light on the record.
