Howdy folks, this week in the project I spent working on some preliminary combat systems, like flinching and poise mechanics! Getting combat to feel weighty is tough, but I'm pretty happy with the progress so far. Especially flinching, I have it currently calculating the point of contact between the colliders and using that to get a direction that the attack is coming from to make the victim flinch in the according direction. When poise is broken it also briefly slows down time a lot, it really gives it a lot of emphasis but its still a work shopped idea, not entirely sure if I'll keep it in the long run.
