It was a different Christmas for us this year. SIL is deep into completing her Doctorate and did not have time for Christmas so she and my brother invited us to Christmas lunch at Terrace Downs Resort. So we had breakfast and whanau pressy opening at our place then collected Mum and drove for about an hour and a a half out into the country. We had a lovely Christmas lunch with amazing views out over the golf course to the mountains. The food was absolutely beautiful and the day was relaxed and fun. Best of all no meal prep and no dishes. I did fall asleep on the way home but thankfully I was not driving. I hope you and yours have a very relaxed and restful Christmas.
Loving having my girl working in the city. Lunchtime is definitely the highlight of my day now.
