AN: So well hi. I thought I might as well post the second chapter, knowing it was already ready and yeah... I would appreciate some feedback over it all :) Oh and I might add that, yes I took idea parts from ONCE but also from every movie and story I saw and made my own plot twist out of it. So YES there might be similarities but not everything is. :)
When the storm calmed down, as rapidly as it had come up, it was still night. Fog was crawling over the dark forest floor.
While she was looking out of her cave, down onto the forest, she felt him for the first time. From the moment he came to her island, she could feel his evil powers. It was creeping across the forest she was protecting for so long now, like the poison of some sort of venomous plant. Nevertheless she didnāt feel like making him go away. She was tired of being alone and the pixies werenāt distracting her anymore. A new being would make her daily life more interesting.
A question popped up. Where did this evil creature come from? Maybe he came from somewhere else, attracted by the beauty and innocence of this place. Or maybe she created him herself, with all her hopes to become someone else. Giving him the personality she never had. She couldnāt tell.
Making herself invisible, she went around the forest, on her way to find the intruder.
He was standing there, in the middle of the fog. Tall, mysterious and young. He didnāt seem much older than she was. Maybe a year or two. However, he was older than that. Not as old as she was. But still older than many of the stars she would watch when the day had been long and she was lying on the cliff. His light brown hair was looking fluffy, an innocent look was plastered on his face and his green eyes were sparkling in the darkness of the night. But the aura around him was as dark as the night. He meant troubles, that for sure. Deep in her mind she knew, she had already seen those leaf green eyes somewhere, a long time ago. He was a handsome devil. Everything about him was beautiful. And she knew that if she was staying any longer in his presence, she was going to drown herself in his eyes. And the sound of his voice was as enchanting as a mermaidās song, making her heart flutter.
āNow. Where did I land this time?ā He chuckled lowly, making shivers run down her spine.
-
A few months had passed since his arrival. And even if he hadnāt shown it when he landed, he could feel her presence from the moment his feet had touched the mossy ground. Whatever had brought him on this island had done a great job.
He could feel her presence and the kindness which was arising from her float in the air of the whole area. Who was she? He couldnāt tell. All he knew was that she was an old entity, even older than he was.
Was he sent here on purpose? To balance out the good she was spreading? That was, in fact, a possibility.
He had felt the light tickle in his body as soon as he showed up on the island. There was magic here. Nothing would have made him happier.
When he discovered the mermaids for the first time, he was delighted. They, and the other creatures were fun for some time. But he soon started to get bored. Thatās why he started to search for the mysterious presence he felt where ever he went on the island. He never got a glimpse of her, as often as he tried, as often she seemed to vanish when he finally managed to come near her. As if the forest itself didnāt want him to discover who she was. All he knew about her was that she was kindness. Way too good and too pure. It was making his skin crawl and making him dislike her a little. How was it possible someone as pure existed?
Something else was really clear to him. She was attracting him like the light attracts moths. And every time he almost found her, his attraction to her grew more until there was no disliking anymore.
This game of hide and seek was exactly what he needed. He chuckled at the idea of finally finding her. What would he do to her? The possibilities were endless he thought, a devilish grin forming on his face.
-
One day, he was strolling through the forest when he heard something. It was a light laugh in the distance. It sounded like a thousand little bells and he could tell it was her. For a few seconds he listened, never had he heard such a mesmerizing sound. Only making him want to get to her with more determination than ever. He wanted to see the mystical presence which was making such an enchanting noise. He searched his way through the woods, as silently as he could, flying so that his footsteps wouldnāt scare her away. Following the sound of her laugh, he came to the edges of a clearing. From there he could see some pixies flying over a little creek, singing and dancing in the air, not allowing him to see what was behind them. He tried to hide so he would finally get a glimpse of her and win the unofficial game. But as he approached, the Pixies fell silent, the creek drowning in an unnatural quietness.
The little creatures flew away, letting him see the blue water. And only that. He had missed her one more time. Even if he could feel her presence still here, she was nowhere to be seen.
āWell, love. This is going on for quite a while now. Why donāt you simply show yourself? We both know that Iām going to win this little gameā¦ā His lips curled into a charming smile as he stepped into the clearing, letting the dull sun play some light games on his hair.
His voice was as enchanting as the first day. But she was aware that the boy in front of her was dangerous. Even if he was the most hypnotizing creature she had ever laid her eyes on, she didnāt want to get into his little game. She had seen him tease the mermaids, never getting caught by her songs. Hunting the poor living beings she had protected for so long. But she also knew that the wolves were not going to turn into vegetarians and had to eat fresh flesh. On the other hand, she would have to accept him killing to feed himself if she didnāt want him to starve and die. And something made her want him to stay on her island.
His sole presence let her know he was the big bad wolf and she was the poor doe he was slowly but surely hunting down.
She had seen him sending away his shadow, at first to catch her, but when he didnāt succeed, he sent his shadow away, into another universe or world. Probably to find something.
She smiled sheepishly and the wind started to whisper in the trees.
āYou didnāt find me until now⦠so what makes you think youāll finally succeed?ā The wind whispered her words.
He shivered in excitement. Was she starting a game with him? It almost seemed so. If it had been somebody else, teasing him like that, he would have punished this poor individual severely, not allowing anybody to treat him like that. But she was different. And he had to admit, he liked the way she was now challenging him. It was finally giving him the distraction he needed.
āOh, you should know that I always get what I want love⦠Want to bet Iāll find you?ā He couldnāt resist the temptation to challenge her back.
When she didnāt answer directly, but the wind still whispered in an unknown language above him, he smirked. She was still there so she must be waiting for him to continue.
āIf I find you, and I will, Iām allowed to do whatever I want with you, and this island belongs to me.ā Those were his conditions.
āAnd if you donāt?ā The wind answered sheepishly.
āThen, love, you can choose whatever you want to do with me. Is that fair enough?ā He smiled.
It took a few moments before the wind answered.
āYou donāt play fair now. Do you?ā She was mustering him from across the clearing. The handsome devil was starting to show his likings.
His smirk grew only wider by her words. It seemed like she already knew him, which meant she was spying on him. And that would make it so much easier to find herā¦
āAlready knowing me, love? To make it a little more interesting, give me 5 little years, and by the end of the time, Iāll find you. Itās not that much when we have the eternity before us⦠Isnāt it?ā His voice was calm and it made her smile a little. The eternity with that devil. That would be interesting.
At first, she didnāt answer. He almost thought she had left without him noticing, but one more time, he could somehow tell she was still there, standing not too far from him. And by the way goose bumps appeared on his arms, he could tell she was mustering him closely, certainly thinking about the pact he had proposed to her.
āAlright. 5 years. But donāt expect me to let you win, lover boyā¦ā One more time it was the whisper of the wind that had answered him. She was not allowing him to hear her actual voice. Clever girl. He had to admit that. If she had spoken herself, he would have been able to locate her and the game would have been biased from there on.
By now, he was grinning into her direction and she almost couldnāt breathe anymore. The evil creature was way too stunning to stay around any longer. As she flew away, she thought about what she just did, when the faint words he yelled after her came to her ears, happiness drooling from each of his wordsā¦
āDonāt worry love, Peter Pan never failsā¦ā

AN : This is actually the first time I post this story somewhere else than on wattpad, therefore be kind with me :) Some feedback would be greatly appreciated too...
The island was her home. She couldnāt remember when it started to be more than just a place she was stuck and turned into a home. She was living here for so long now, she could almost not remember how nor when she came here. She knew, somewhere in her mind, that a long, a very long time ago, she was living somewhere else. That her home was somewhere else. However, she couldnāt recall where this other place was. But this island was her home now, with itās green forests and calm belts. She didnāt regret being in this place and not somewhere else, even if sometimes the time stood stillā¦
Actually, it was not just sometimes, nor a feeling. It was a fact. In this place, the time was passing by differently than in the human world she had once known. It literally stood still on this island. Since she was here, she had always had the body of a teenage girl. Maybe sixteen or seventeen years old. Yet she was older. Oh, so much older than that. But for everyone who would look at her, she would just look like the teen she was when she came here. Nothing showing who she actually was. Not that there was anyone who would look at her anyway.
At first, she hadnāt understood what was happening to her. Why was she here? Where was she? Who was she? The first year⦠If it really was a year⦠Maybe more, maybe less. Well, that time was the worst. She was alone, on a desert island, without any living creature around to keep her company. It was horribly lonely. She even started to miss the little spiders and mosquitos she disliked so muchā¦
Her loneliness only increasing until one day, she thought it would be wonderful to be a fish and explore the lagoon, see if there was something interesting in the mysterious water. But, with her human legs and lungs, she wouldnāt get anywhere in the deep water. Thatās when she suddenly felt a tickle all over her body. When she looked down at herself, she had a deep blue fishtail. That was the moment she knew she could be anything she wanted on this island. Thanks to the magical power she had discovered, she went many pleasant places on the land and under water. She started to grow accustomed to the island. But still she was alone, until one day, she was sitting on her favorite cliff, finally realizing how the island and herself were making one. She thought how cute a little rabbit would look here. And suddenly a rustle was behind her. The sudden noise making her jump in surprise. When she turned around, a tiny little bunny, not bigger than her two joined hands was sitting there. Something in the fern caught her attention but disappeared as soon as it appeared. She forgot the image of piercing eyes quite rapidly, only delighted about the bunny.
The more the time passed, the more she discovered how her soul was linked to this place. Creating trees, bushes and flowers. Creating rain and sunny days. Giving life and love to whatever was there. And oh, how much love and care she was giving.
She loved everything about the place. The way the wind whispered in the trees. The way the water was hollering at her when a storm came up. Sometimes, it was the island who was doing his own thing, sometimes it was herself who created all those things. She did it when she was extremely bored, never truly thinking about it.
She also loved the creatures which were living here, some known in the human world, like frogs, deer, or even wolves. And some so magical they had left the human world a long time ago. Pixies, mermaids and other magical living being. Most of them were already on the island when she came, but she only found out when she made one with the place, discovering a lot of living creatures she had never remarked around her. Not all the creatures walking, crawling and swimming in her world were good and kind. Some were even mean little monsters. But none of them was truly bad.
Being the mother and the soul of this world, protecting it against every intruder (not that there were many of them), no one on the island feared her. Her presence being accepted and cherished even by the magical creature who didnāt want to spend time with other living beings. She could spend days swimming around with the mermaids, getting tired only once in a while. Or flying across the deep forest with the little multicolored pixies, chasing rainbows.
Her whole metabolism was different from normal human ones. Even if she looked like a simple teenage girl, she didnāt need much sleep nor much food. She was literally living from water and fresh air.
-
Sometimes, she was sitting on her cliff, watching the sea and asking herself if she would always be the only human kind, or she was trying to remember how her life was before the island. Those were the worst days. Sheād just sit there for hours, feeling alone and sad.
One evening, a terrible storm came up. It went on for hours, raging around the island, and during the whole time she could hear the wind growl above her and the thunder rumble. She was staying safely in a cave, not wanting to be hit by a tree. Every so often, she could hear them fall, making the whole ground vibrate every time the heavy wood hit the moss covered forest floor. She could tell that this one storm was much different than the previous ones her island had seen. She couldnāt tell why, but she felt that this storm was bringing change and danger with it.
