There's no such thing as someone else's child. We are all human and deserve to be treated with respect and dignity. These concentration camps on US soil are a disgrace. My heart is broken. I've been crying all day. Even now tears flood my eyes as I share these moments from today's direct action #closethecamps with my ReSisters @resistancerevivalchorus at @middlechurch and all the incredible people who shared their stories of seeing children cuffed and taken away #familiesbelongtogether or of being undocumented and unafraid. This could be your baby, this could be you. As a first gen, Caribbean American it hits me at my core. This system is rotten. #neveragainisnow being silent or oblivious in times like these is violence. People escaping persecution are not criminals, what our government is doing to them is. 💔 From destroying families through slavery to now... dehumanization is the norm. Special thank you to @sargold for keeping me together. Holding my hand the whole time. 👧🏻👩🏽 #humanist @aclu_nationwide @fams2gether @revjacquilewis #WeShowUp #weshallovercome #trumpcamps #knowyourrights #sisterhood #humanrights (at Middle Collegiate Church) https://www.instagram.com/p/Bzcdw-QFivM/?igshid=1047iavsj4y8l
