What good is having a brother — which Wes may as well be — if you can’t con him into doing your dirty work every now and then? When Wes had showed up at the farm earlier in the day, Rowan had swiftly conned him into spraying the wasp nest she had found out by the barn earlier in the week. She’d asked Andy to handle it and he just hadn’t had time yet and Rowan simply didn’t want to. So naturally, she had recruited Wes. She’d taken Ryan inside with the kids and was in the middle of cutting up some fruit for them all to snack on when she heard Wes coming in the backdoor. “If you’re trackin’ horse shit across my nice hardwood floors again I’ll fuckin’ stab you,” Rowan deadpans, dramatically referencing a time Wes had, in fact, tracked horse shit across the floor of her front room by not taking his boots off. “And there’s not even anyone here to narc on me so I’d probably get away with it.” Which isn’t entirely accurate but she’s pretty sure that between Ryan, Benny and the twins there aren’t exactly any star witnesses — not that she would ever actually hurt Wes. She’d just think about it. “You didn’t get stung, did you? You’re gonna be Maddie’s hero once I tell her you got rid of the wasps. She’s been fretting all week about them killin’ her bees.”
