WERTY'S WRITER SCHOOL ( 1/?)
So now I got the idea that I could give a few tips on how to become a Tumblr writer
those tactics are just my tips and they are not any absolute truths.
I am still a young writer who has a lot to learn but I want to at least try to help.
In the first part, we go through choosing your fandom and what qualities you need as a writer...
I recommend starting writing for just one fandom at first.
this will give you an experience of how writing works and whether itβs comfortable for you.
also, choose the fandom that interests you.
there is no reason to start writing about a fandom whose characters you know nothing about.
because OOC characters are very often seen on the Tumblr
I recommend choosing a fandom with whose characters you can have a complete dialogue inside your head.
I also recommend reading texts by other Tumblr writers about the fandom you are starting to write about.
this way you get different perspectives on the same character.
the first fandom you should choose is some fandom that you love from the bottom of your heart.
so you get the best possible experience
Qualities you need as a writer.
You have to accept that not everyone likes your writings and thatβs okay.
You have to be patient. (Tumblr is so fickle that it's a coincidence which writings appear in the tags).
You need to be prepared to receive feedback
You need to have good pressure tolerance (requests accumulate easily and create a certain pressure.)
you have to have time. (If you write quickly, the quality of your writing will suffer a lot.)
You have to like writing (if you start writing just because of the likes and attention it shows in the quality of your writing)
Good disappointment tolerance (as I said earlier Tumblr is unpredictable even if you spend a lot of time or effort there is no promise that it will appear on the tags)
here's everything from today. in the next section, we will go through separation from the masses as well as creating rules.
also, remember to press like so I know how many are following this series.
