5. pokemon ruby and sapphire. i never played emerald so i dont have the attachment to that, thus my wording. i think gen 3 is extremely charming, has very recognizable music, and has introduced some of my favorite pokemon. this is probably the only entry on this list i havent finished more than once so i dont have a lot to say but i do love these games and i think they deserve their popularity
4. pokemon scarlet and violet. this might be a hot take, but i think theyre fantastic games outside of the poor optimization. ive had a blast playing this game-- i still play it regularly! this is the strongest plot since black and white imho. i loved the multiple storylines. i have my qualms but i think the pros outweigh the cons. i loved the dlcs sooo much. ive put over 200 hours into my scarlet copy alone! :)
3. pokemon ultra sun and ultra moon! i know these games are fairly disliked by the general public, but this is the first game i 100%'d and i had such a blast doing it. the sos mechanic, the format that deviated from the traditional 8 gyms, the ultra wormhole mini game.... you name it, im such a big fan of all of it. i think these games are overhated; i agree that its very hand hold-y but imo it just makes them more accessible. longtime pokemon fans are simply Good at pokemon
2. pokemon black and white! god, i love this game. i think the plot is extremely clunky and the message it tries to convey is very poorly executed (not a plot you can tell in such a linear format, if anyone wants a further ramble feel free to send another ask). but the music is fucking phenomenal, the best in the series imo, and introduced such classic pokemon & npcs
1. pokemon platinum! my very first pokemon game i completed-- my home region if you will. i think giratina and the distortion world changed my brain chemistry genuinely forever and i am thankful for it. it added so much good to preexisting evo lines, had good plot, amazing music, and is just so good....

Lately at work I’ve been feeling very domestic. For those who don’t know, a few weeks ago I started a new job at a dog daycare. Being around these animals all the time has made me feel really connected to them and to my domesticated-ness.
For a little background: back when I first formed and fronted, I would try to bite. Not in a vicious way, but if you’ve ever seen wolves interact, in that kind of way. A friendly greeting, a playful gesture.
The person I’d mostly try to bite was a friend of the old host, and he didn’t take kindly to it haha. He’d hit me and push me away. I don’t blame him now that I’m domesticated; I can see how it would be weird. I mean, your friend randomly starts growling and whining at you and trying to bite you? I’d freak too.
For better or for worse, the responses I received shaped me into the lycan I am today. A very docile, tame one that sees itself in dogs. It has me wondering if I actually am part dog.
I saw this today, and it looks like me color wise. I’ve always felt connected to Belgian Malinois to a degree, especially the bite training they’re known for, and their colors.
If I were a Malinois werewolfdog, that would make a bit of sense. I like performing tasks for people, to have a “job” of sorts helping them. Malinois are trained for searching, bite work, and protection mostly. I enjoy similar things, like protecting my (unnamed and ungendered for privacy) family member when they’re physically unstable on their feet. I enjoy finding and retrieving things for them when they can’t. And I do like biting and chewing on things, like mentioned above.
I am not new to wolfdogs. There’s a farm about 45 minutes from me that is a wolfdog sanctuary. I have a few spilled over memories from childhood, where the old host would go there and marvel at them. They don’t breed them, they rescue them from across the country.
Wolfdogs are an unfortunate case of human interference. I don’t support the breeding of them at all, as they are wild and not meant to be pets. Their very existence screams something that should not be, and I feel akin to that. A crime against nature.
I might try the Werewolfdog or lycan-cyanthrope labels on for a bit and see how I feel.
