🐻 ⋆.˚ Unlike werewolves Michael is able to control when he transforms. Choosing between an actual bear or a hybrid that maintained more human attributes. His bear form isn't anything spectacular, just your average brown bear. You can distinguish your boyfriend from your average bear by his doe eyes and the lighter splotches across his fur.

🐻 ⋆.˚ Few know Michaels is a werebear, it isn't exactly an easy conversation starter. There were signs… little ticks easily brushed off in interviews as odd habits or family traits. His big hands? Turned into fluffy paws at will. The pads of his fingers morph into callus paw pads.

🐻 ⋆.˚ Michael felt ashamed for his bear nature. Despite being able to control when he transformed, his body still mirrored the traits of a bear no matter the form. The insatiable urge to consume everything insight during fall being a place of contention. His father engrained shame into his bones for his alternative forms. Convincing Michael that they were monstrous and therefore unmarketable.

🐻 ⋆.˚ But once he got comfortable around you he felt his restraint waiver. Contemplating whether he had to hide himself around someone who loved him so. 

🐻 ⋆.˚ “Are you sure, baby?” He grumbled for the 5th time “yes Mikey, now let me see!” Thankfully, his transformation wasn't as gruesome as the movies made it seem. It was more… magical. Like a Disney spell, which is quite fitting for Michael. When the sparkle and dust settled his form revealed itself to you. That’s when you truly realized how big Michael was. He mentioned he’d grow in size but you didn’t think it would be this much. You couldn’t help but wonder what other things grew with his transformation… His head skimmed your bedroom ceiling. His beady eyes peered down at you in your stunned silence. A soft whine broke the tension, snapping you out of your loving haze. “Baby, you’re…. Adorable” How could Michael ever think he had an ugly side? His fur is soft to the touch, with rich brown and beige spots.

🐻 ⋆.˚ After revealing himself to you Michael felt comfortable transforming more often in front of you. Doing so felt… natural. Freeing. Cuddles became commonplace. Lazy evenings after long recording sessions spent with your hands scratching lightly behind his twitching ears.

🐻 ⋆.˚ Michael isn’t aggressive as a bear. However, his strength increased. Initially, he wasn’t used to it and nearly squished you on several occasions.

🐻 ⋆.˚ As a bear Michael could consume mountains of food if given the opportunity. You couldn’t help yourself from feeding your boyfriend so, you bought a family sized KFC bucket, which of course, disappears within seconds between his jaws. Minutes later, you find him snoring soundly on his back against the cold with a small belly. The sight alone warms your heart.

🐻 ⋆.˚ Speech is limited for bear Michael. Limited to groans, growls, whimpers, and the occasionally weak “yes,” “no,” and “sorry.”

🐻 ⋆.˚ Michael began to transform into a bear around you so much that he experienced his first taste of hibernation. You only found out one morning when he refused to wake up. Then it clicked, the excessive eating, the den made out of pillows and blankets you were currently sleeping in… You anxiously called Janet over, hoping she had a solution for this. Michael had shows to go to, his father would kill him if he didn’t show. She gave him a light kick “I guess you’ll miss Disney.” You’ve never seen his eyes snap open so fast.

🐻 ⋆.˚ After a small fight, you left Michael alone in your apartment for a few hours only to come home to a small den made out of your pillows, bedding, and his Disney merch in your room. Soft whimpers floating from the den. “Michael” a groan. You crawled into the cushioned fortress, finding your boyfriend sitting in the center with tears dotting his waterline. A weak, gruff “Sorry” slinked from his snout.
