We embrace the “teach a woman to fish” philosophy and believe that educating and empowering women and building health worker capacity within Haiti is the best way to create sustainable change. Our education program is free for our students and each Skilled Birth Attendant is trained to World Health Organization standards. 124 MFH graduates work in hospitals, birth centers, health centers, and mobile clinics in 8 of the 10 departments in Haiti and will touch thousands of lives with skilled and compassionate care throughout her career. The ripple effect of this education is exponential. Another 32 students graduate in Feb 2018 and we are beginning preparations for our 10th class soon. 💕🙏🏽 As we get ready for #GivingTuesday, please consider joining our fundraising team for the Newman's Own Foundation $500k Challenge on Crowdrise this holiday season. It's easy to join our team, just copy/paste here http://bit.ly/2mJ3Lyp and a goal of even a few hundred dollars makes a difference. 🙌🏽 Thank you so much! #ittakesavillage #weneedyourhelp #teamMidwivesForHaiti (at Plateau, Centre, Haiti)
