Last lot of the Fly Guy @joecordina_91 Alright...here's a little bit of my take. Joe is boxer with immense talent, but that isn't what interests me. Boxing is a part of what makes him special but it's his mindset, commitment and humility that truly sets him apart. I was fortunate to be at @pontyclunabc when @chriseubanksnr came to chat to the boys. One lad had a broken arm and was sat by the side watching. Chris asked "Why aren't you training?" The kid looked amazed and indicated that clearly he had a broken arm. "So ?" Asked Chris " you've been given a gift, now is an opportunity to work and get your other arm stronger!" He then went on to chat motivationally about overcoming adversity and Championship mindset etc etc. Why do I mention this? Joe had hand surgery not so long ago which has meant that he has been unable to punch with one hand. He is still in the gym every day punching with his other hand and conditioning his body so he never misses a step! Has he spoken to Chris?? Of course not he simply shares that champion mindset that sees opportunity in adversity. Joe also possesses what martial artists call "white belt mentality". If there is something worth learning he will put his ego to one side and say "show.me.that" Lastly humility is a character trait that always gets respect from me. He doesn't have to speak to the local school kids, or give advice to the local amateur boxers but he still finds time to. He isn't too proud to jump into pro sessions in other gyms despite the fact he usually trains in one of the UKs top boxing gyms. He will even jump into a fitness session with an old guy like me! 🙏 As far as I'm concerned a champion has to perform on his chosen stage but the measure of a man is how he performs outside of it! Hope it was a good day Joe. #welshwizard #welshfighters #welshboxing #boxingwales #boxing (at Cardiff) https://www.instagram.com/p/CIRJ5aDgJQr/?igshid=1hazr7f7z0qna
