A terrific morning at the Wells Cathedral Climate Conference with students and staff from the Strode Environmental Studies A-level and the Art Foundation. A great range of speakers talking about a range of issues related to climate change. Robert Varley from the Met Office, Dr Andy Parsons polar scientist and member of Greenpeace, Caroline Pomeroy, Director of Climate Stewards, Mederic Engel - President of UNICEF on Campus Exeter, Niki Jones form Avon Needs Trees talking about energy consumption and passionate student activist Jo Brindle. We all split up into workshop groups and participated in a series of interactive sessions, testing and sharing ideas about our material and energy consumption and dealing with global temperature rise. Great to talk to other students and teachers about these important themes and lots of ideas to take back into college. 

Visited the most extraordinary medieval cathedral today. Thought the 12th century stained glass window would be the highlight but actually it was the functional mechanical clock from the middle ages with little knights on horse going around. Unbelievable ingenuity for the time. Wells Cathedral Grand Organ built by Henry Willis in 1857

This building is truly breathtaking a must see if your a fan of god and and also anything gothic. I have been twice the energy and vast size of the cathedral is so mesmerising. Pictures don't do it justice. Saying that I'm a budding photographer so I hope mine does.
