Portland, Oregon’s Southeast Examiner calls Jeff “Weirdo” Jacobson “a leading force in the urban art scene in Seattle.” His murals in Seattle’s Pioneer Square area were recognized with a prestigious 2011 grant, and he is also recognized for his gallery work reflecting visions of a changing world “underscored by darkness, yet balanced by a creative benevolent force.” Jacobson says his work “often features grotesquely surrealistic organic forms, inspired by plants, funguses, and corals, which sprout from hyper-realistic portraits.” In Fall, 2014, Artifact Creative Recycle, a “sustainably driven design store” on trendy SE Division St., invited Jacobson to make his SE Portland debut. They describe the once nondescript alleyway wall next to the store as being “transformed into a striking mixture of Dutch Realism and psychedelic Surrealism” with the new mural “speaking to the past, present, and future of avant-garde art.”  @weirdocult  @artifactpdx​
