For Did, one is always in control of their body, right? And the other can float beside them like a ghost, righty right?

I just imagine Sans!Did and Pit arguing with ghost-Chara in the middle of the streets but everyone thinks they're arguing with a brick wall because Chara is invisible for others. Then Pit gets confused why people say there was no third person because it's so normal for him to see their "ghost" forms that he didn't even think of the possibility that seeing their ghost forms is not normal lmao
Hmmm.... It depends i guess... ^^; and for Pit case since They have History and been contacted with Chara and been inside the Core it would definitely make them see C!Did and could probably tell who's who in them XD remembered that Chara & Did have been experimented with The Core. So my Chara is like they can feel, see, tell, and remembered what that Chara is in that Multiverse (for example: Cross after taking control of the X Event, my Chara remembered that by just looking at Cross then started blaming Cross and hating the guy while Cross have know Clue who is this Did guy is XD) like Doctor Who if that makes sense of if you know that show.
Like this XD but in Chara's Pov they're like looking into many Mirrors of themselves but they look different but It's still You. =)
So, Chara would nonchalant joke? Maybe if someone ask how did y'know all that if it's your first time in this Multiverse. "Yeah, I always know." and Did is just joining for the ride X'D
