One of the most important things we can do is to listen to our bodies๐๐บ. Thatโs what intuitive eating is all about! So even though we THINK we would love to eat a burger ๐ or a donut ๐ฉ every single day, the truth is it could be too much for our bodies. They are wise enough to know what we need, when we need it and whereโs our limit. We just have to pay attention.
โ
Have you ever felt that youโve eaten too much, letโs sayโฆ chocolate ๐ซ , that all of a sudden you canโt even smell it ๐คข? Thatโs what happens when we overflow ourselves with the same food; the pleasure vanishes and you just get tired of it . Even if we go the other way around! Imagine the only food you have is a bunch of vegetables ๐ฅ. Veggies for breakfast ๐ฅ, veggies for lunch ๐ฅ, veggies for snacks ๐ฅ, veggies for dinner ๐ฅ Well, your body will ask for something else, probably the opposite just to take a break from that eating routine. โ
โ
โ
In order to feel good when it comes to food, itโs essential to maintain the balance โ๏ธ. We have to fuel our bodies with a little bit of this ๐ฅ and a little bit of that ๐ญ. That'sโ why some days you might want to eat junk food and other days youโll prefer healthier foods instead, like veggies, fruits, proteins, and healthy fats. And itโs ok to treat yourself with carbs every now and then. The key relies on allowing yourself the opportunity to choose what you want ๐ฎ๐. Thatโs what freedom is about, right? โ
โ
โ
So donโt deprive yourself from eating what your bodyโs requesting. If you are craving a donut, go eat it! If you are craving an apple, go for it. Just enjoy!โ
