Fête Galante is a sculpture by Hans van den Ban from 1997, which is placed along the Weesperstraat and Nieuwe Kerkstraat in Amsterdam-Center. The title would refer to the painting term, where pleasure is the main element. The playfulness was necessary because of the tight houses and office blocks that arose here after a thorough clean-up of the neighborhood. In the first plans, a row of trees would come here, but it was ultimately not placed.
