I listened to J Balvin’s Downtown probably 50 times while making this. (There’s the link. There are english subtitles!)

Sooo here it is! This thing took like 10+ hours I think? And I’m happy about how it turned out!

I feel like I’ve peaked as an artist, HTTYD fan and latin american all at the same time.

The Chimuelos meet.

For those of you who don’t know the story behind this: A video went viral in all Latin America. A boy buries his pet parrot Chimuelo (spanish dub for Toothless) without shedding one fucking tear, while singing praise to the Lord Jesus and the parrot. It goes hilariously wrong.

Here’s is the full story for those who want it. There’s a subtitled video somewhere in the notes. 

So I decided to honor the whole thing by drawing Chimuelo The Parrot, may he rest in peace, and Chimuelo The Dragon / Toothless.

Heya!

This year I made a resolution to do at least one full drawing each week. This means a sketch+color, no matter if digital or traditional. Recoloring old sketches also counts. The idea is to finish a drawing each week. 

This would give a grand total of at least 52 drawings and change. And, I figured that by making this public I would be a bit more motivated to finish this.
