Good news. I discovered that slip cast molds can be repaired.
I do not do slip casting. But due to another one of my sisterâs weird impulse buys, I own several dozen vintage plaster molds. Half for bowls and cups and ornaments. Half for doll parts.
I have her permission to start selling them, but because my sister found the doll ones âcreepyâ she stored them under my deck. They have, obviously, deteriorated, and I had resigned myself to missing out on a good chunk of money.
But joy of joys, they are repairable. So I can still sell them as âdamaged.â Which is great because there are a lot of doll molds under my deck.
