Fact or Speculation?
I was wondering about certain information we take for granted as fact, and whether we might be introduced to new ways of classifying Outcasts.
Iβm rewatching the first season, and I noticed that Xavier never uses terms like "Dove" or "Raven" to refer to himself or his father. I believe Xavier's visions have implied that he is, in fact, a raven. But is he?
Those terms were only used for female characters with psychic abilities. What if the terms are different for maleβor even gender-neutralβpsychics?
Maybe other bird species? Or perhaps itβs something unique, and men with the same ability don't label themselves as "A" or "B"?
I know Xavierβs cut in the second season changed the script, so perhaps a lot of the unknown details were adapted as wellβespecially since the only other sources are Morticia and Hester, who only referred to other female psychics (Ophelia and Rosaline).
Another thing I noticed is that the term "Swarmer" (Eugeneβs ability) is never actually spoken during the series (correct me if Iβm wrong). I only learned that was the correct term after seeing a Pinterest post (if anyone knows the original source, please share). Before that, while writing my fanfic, I used to call the ability "Insectomancy."
Come to think of it, are there any other Outcasts who appeared on screenβeven in the backgroundβwhose abilities or peculiarities were never named?
Psychics
Werewolf
Vampire
Siren
Gorgon
Swarmer
Faceless
Sparky
Vanisher
Shapeshifter
Yeti
Cyclops
Avians
Hydes
Minotaur
Those are the ones I remember off the top of my head; some are already extinct (as far as we know).
Maybe there are more details in the *Outcast* book; Iβm thinking of buying a copy for myself!
