Your fingers nail gently made a small scrape sound as you pet the brown fur of your kitten. You had been clinging to this kitten all day and the little thing never left your lap either. His name was buster, you named him that since it meant brown.
Since this thing never left your side and you didn't either Abby didn't get as much attention like she did before. Which at first didn't bother her but it became to the point you cuddled with the kitten all day as abby got nothing. You didn't even realize.
The couch sunk slightly as abby sat down on the other cushion. She didn't say anything and just glanced at you until you said "hey baby..". Which you were granted with a "hi" but it wasn't very exciting. You also kept noticing her glancing at you every once in awhile. She seemed a little bit annoyed and it took you a minute to put the pieces together.
"Abby why do you keep staring at me?" you finally questioned turning your head to her. "You spend a lot of time with that cat, don't yah?" She questions, her tone sounded rude and unhappy which made you confused. "He has a name you know, and I'm just trying to get him comfortable in his new house."
"are you jealous?" you added smirking and your smirk grew more as you saw her cheeks flush slide from embarrassment. "No..no I'm not jealous!" was her immediate response yet you kept insisting that she was jealous while giggling.
"I think Abby is jealous of you Buster. You're just just so stinking cute!" You told your kitten while giving him a peck against his fur. Abby scoffed shaking her head. "I can see the jealousy written all over that face of your's abby'' you teased.
she scoffed, muttering something along the lines of "you spend too much time with that damn cat." To which you giggled bringing Buster closer to your face. "See what I said!" you told your cat like it would understand you.
