Tasha not only was abducted but aliens, but was then rescued by General Tourmaline, a tall butch alien with a forked tongue 👀😏 they're not kidding about the slow burn though 😅 Tasha and Tourmaline work well together - Tasha brings out Tourm's softer side, and Tourm inspires and encourages Tasha, especially when she feels overwhelmed by the new world she's been forced to live in. There are other secondary characters, including two of Tourm's subordinates who enjoy teasing/seeing her with Tasha 😄 The comic itself has short episodes, which I really enjoy - I caught up with the whole comic in about an hour - and the art work is gorgeous and fitting for alien worlds. After a prophecy names her the new "Queen of Vampires, she needs to earn the title or risk falling into the clutches of those who seek to destroy her. There's only 9 episodes so far but this is already both hilarious and mysterious, so here we go. Mallory is an orphan raised in a church by possibly an ex-soldier who became a priest and nuns. Her unknown uncle has just died and left her everything, including a giant mansion in the middle of nowhere. She's studying to be a zoologist which comes in handy when vampire clans attack. The reason? These different vampires can change into different animals: bats, cats, insects, snakes, among others. There's good and 'doing things for their own good' vampires, some of them may want to kill Mallory, but who can she trust? I don't know yet myself - I don't trust anyone yet 😅 Mallory is innocent and a little naïve but it is still early and she may end up teaching the vampires a thing or two on her way to becoming Queen of the vampires. Batman: Wayne family adventures by CRC Payne and StarBite for #webcomicwedneaday and #webtoonwednesday Official summary: Batman needs a break. But with new vigilante Duke Thomas moving into Wayne Manor and an endless supply of adopted, fostered, and biological superhero children to manage, Bruce Wayne is going to have his hands full. Being a father can't be harder than being Batman, right? ... right 😅 Bruce is lucky to have Alfred, as are we all. This comic is surprisingly true to the slice of life category, and that's one of the best things about it. I expected darkness and putting the goth in Gotham, just like every Batman movie/comic ever to exist recently, but this is about Bruce Wayne being/learning to be a father, about all of his kids and their relationships with others as well as each other, and includes the excellent and sassy Alfred Pennyworth. The artwork is amazing and the storylines for each of the characters are interesting. The family shenanigans put the fun into dysfunctional, but they're all supportive both in and outside of their crime-fighting lifestyles. In his world his happy life with his Mom (Mami) is truncated by the constant presence of his Dad. Also, he thinks he is human and he shouldn't walk up the stairs, that is why mums are for. He basically just wants to sleep and eat all day. Mochi is an adorable pug, the comic is definitely slice of life with some comedy too, and anyone who has a dog will likely relate to the shenanigans Mochi gets up to.
