Someone local asked for measurements/photos/plans for the travel PVC loom I made a while back, and I figured while I had the measurements and such together, why not make the most 90s possible tutorial in canva?
Anyway this thing is fuckin' great, especially if you want to travel with your loom and don't have a car. :3

found this tutorial on how to make a 4 shaft weaving loom out of cardboard boxes, tape, glue, skewers, string, and a few other odds and ends.
it may not look pretty, but as an introduction to multi shaft weaving this could be a fun project that doesn't break the bank.
I think I'm going to try backstrap weaving again, but instead of using cards, I might just make a heddle string. I want to eventually weave fabric so that I can use it for patches and maybe eventually make clothes/accessories and I think I'd have an easier time with a heddle than cards. By what I've seen, cards are definitely better for smaller pieces like bands and you can get a lot more color work in them, but I want something that's going to be pretty mindless and can cover a wider amount of real estate so heddle strings on a backstrap loom might be my best bet.
If you've used a back strap loom and heddle strings, what advice do you have for someone who's new to weaving?

I just noticed she has a weight warp loom on the left. That's fun.
