Weather Report – Heavy Weather 

Heavy Weather is the eighth album by Weather Report, released in 1977 through Columbia Records. The release originally sold about 500,000 copies; it would prove to be the band’s most commercially successful album.

Reception

Heavy Weather received a 5-star review from Down Beat magazine and went on to be voted jazz album of the year by the readers of that publication.

AllMusic Review by Richard S. Ginell awarded the album 5 stars out of 5 and stating “Released just as the jazz-rock movement began to run out of steam, this landmark album proved that there was plenty of creative life left in the idiom.”

one of my favourite panels is them giggling and cackling at each other at how weird mista is [endearing] my initial idea for mista is to draw his hair in a swirl motion [like trish's] but realized we never actually see his hair in full, so not to break the spacetime continuum or something i decided against it

tbh it was really just an excuse to draw the pillarmen okay the life changing discovery i had for this one is that the pronunciation of "aja" is not actually adzha but similar to asia??? i was devastated

okay guys so the connection i made with rain and apocalypse is a little funky… obviously rain is for when weather summoned these blue froggies [that i gave up on drawing after like the 2nd one] BUT APOCALYPSE since one of the ten plagues of egypt was actually the infestation of frogs,,,, [and prince of egypt is one of my favourites] so i combined the two

not much to say…… i have drawn this pose TWICE [thrice???] it feels weird for some reason
