WCanon here, getting mad at traditional naming again. It's when you pick a pre-picked set of prefixes ("hawk" "ash") and a pre-picked set of suffixes ("fur" "pelt") but its only been used to bully people and have power trips.
They always say "it's from the first book" but its not??? fricking runningwind exists so therefore in their logic, i can use wind as a suffix, even though its a clan name. Also the books don't even follow their logic. One time my sister got banned from an rp server because "cat's don't know what 'splat' means" its so bullshit.
One of the rules for that server was "don't name your cat a compound word" but literally the main character's WIFE is named sandstorm. AND SANDSTORM WAS ONE OF THEIR EXAMPLES. i hated that server. Apologies if this doesn't make sense ;-;
