I was asked to a piece featuring Batgirl by a friend and long time supporter of my work. I was racking my brain trying to get a unique angle on the piece. I always wanted to draw Man-Bat. The idea of his arm around her, almost like he's trying to protect her was my hook. She has an expression of defiance, like she doesn't need him.
