Removing the RFID Tag
Thu 2019/10/31
Peeling off the first layer of the RFID sticker which is a plastic protective film is straight forward and easy. I used my finger nails to do it. The second and underlying layer which is the RIFD chip embedded and bonded in the adhesive is a bit more difficult to remove.
I rubbed the adhesive with moist tissue papers a few times after spraying Waxco anti-rust liquid on to the affected portion of the headlamp cover. After that I cleaned up the residual adhesive remaining on the headlamp cover by wiping it with damp tissue papers dabbed with toothpaste.
I removed the RFID sticker because the tag has become redundant after I had successfully terminated my RFID account
