Spectacular welsh winter waterfall

Lower Glen Alpine Falls, near Fallen Leaf Lake, near South Lake Tahoe in Eldorado County, California USA is a picturesque little waterfall on Glen Apine Creek. It is about as wide as it is tall at 75 feet. It sits a very long couple miles off State Rout 89. The road in “paved,” so to speak but narrow and fairly heavily traveled, requiring lots of pulling over to let other vehicles pass. To be completely honest, I think the best time to photograph it would be in early morning light. However, I had time to kill in the area late in the day so I gave it a go and I’m reasonably pleased with the results. I had to stitch 6 frames together to get this all in as you have to be right on the edge of the small gorge to shoot it and that puts you quite close. I’ve been here a few times and this was the most I’ve ever seen it flow and that was a welcome sight indeed!
