Day 18: A film you think deserves a Best Picture Oscar
Interstellar over Birdman over and over and over again
excerpt from part v.v: what's mine is yours to make your own
“ Don't worry, baby. You can't get rid of me that easy, ” he smiled, bony fingers brushing through the grown out brown locks of her hair. She blubbered against his chest, tears falling fast. She clung to him, locked her arms around his middle — almost as though, if she let go, he'd disappear with the wind flowing around them. “ I love you, ” he whispered against her hair, speaking it aloud for the first time in what felt like years, but was only a few days. A single tear slipped down his cheek, a shaky breath leaving his lungs. He was home. He was safe.
I mean, I hope it's clear that Encanto just won because it's on trend, 'cause The Mitchells was the best animated feature of 2021

when you are sad :) just think about dean winchester :) checking sammy isn’t home one day and then :) sitting down at his laptop :) and opening up his browser :) and searching for construction degree programmes (not anything serious, him, college, really? cmon, that stuff, that’s sammy’s bag, he wouldn’t get in, no way, but there’s no harm in just looking—) and scrolling through stuff, bla bla, requirements and brochures and maybe this was stupid— but hang on— then there’s one that actually sounds quite interesting, maybe, like maybe something he’d be quite good at :) he knows some of this stuff already so maybe? maybe ?? and then it takes a week and then another week before he works up to asking sam to read his application :) because he wants to be sure he’s checking the right boxes :) and sammy looks so goddamn happy and says of course and that’s brilliant and dean coughs and mutters something and leaves the room :) and he almost chickens out and doesn’t send it, hovering over the stupid submit button at 23.58 on the day of the deadline but then he hits the damn thing because he literally killed god he’s not gonna play chicken with a freaking admissions portal :) and for a couple weeks, a month, he sure as hell doesn’t think about it every day :) and when an email drops into his inbox at 7.53am a month later his stomach doesn’t twist itself into knots (it does) :) and when he hurls himself into the kitchen and tells sammy he got in neither of them have tears in the eyes (they do) :) and sam doesn’t immediately give him a rib breaking hug and when they’re cracking open the bunker’s good scotch, dean doesn’t feel, for a moment, this strange and peaceful feeling like acceptance or home or that he can maybe, finally, start banking on a future he never thought he deserved :)
