I’ve got a new website (galina.uk), now you too can experience a day in the life of the secret service agent who has to watch me binge watching videos of italian grandmas making pasta and scrolling through jstor
hello, name change! was gonna swap to my primary blog but decided that was pointless so instead I’ve just swapped out my url. I’m no longer using @warmhealer here but will still be coffee / books / good light and lovely pics as usual x
There are so many small things to be grateful for—aliveness, safety, people we love—our days have been spent reading, sitting on the step to our flat’s balcony in the sun, drinking coffee and playing as much music as we can. We sing and dance and go for walks and open our windows and lie in bed listening to the birds. Today our neighbours spontaneously shared their barbecue with us, across the gap between our two balconies. The block is like one big family all waving at each other and being kind.
In the evenings we call our friends and families to say we love them. Everyone worries about money, rent, credit. My granddad says he’s kept up all my notes around the house. “see you friday, love you!” tucked in the bathroom mirror.
I’ve taken on new projects hoping they will fill my time enough to not worry. I sorted through all the books and moved our bookcase. I read the things I was putting off. Our tiny apartment is a happy place but so close; I’m trying to see new corners all the time.

An absolutely unbelievable way to end the first day of the year. I’ve written so many times over the last three years how much I love sharing on this platform and what a lovely community there is here but just to reiterate: you are all so lovely and supportive and connecting with you keeps me going. I am thinking a lot about ways I can share in a more mindful and meaningful way in 2020 so do watch this space! Otherwise, as always, hope your night is blessed with cheap books, good coffee and soft warm light ✨🌙
