Does anyone know why they decided to completely butcher Leslie Thompkins in War Games? Like, she literally treated Zsasz during NML, but she decides to let Steph die to teach Bruce a lesson or something? There has to be a reason they did that, but the only thing I can think of is trying to streamline comics by removing characters. If they wanted to get rid of her they could have killed her or had her leave Gotham for reasons other than killing a teenager
It’s literally the second most OOC thing I’ve ever seen from any character ever
I really like her in other comics, I think she works well as a plot device and as someone who opposes what Batman does, but still helps because she feels obligated to help everyone.
I know this has been retconned and stuff, but like, seriously why did they do this in the first place
