i just watched wang chenyi’s mv for “Night Sky Rainbow” and it just fills my heart with happiness to see him shine !!! idk if i (or anyone) really understand what happened to him at the end of produce camp, but my impression of it was he got completely slighted because he wasn’t backed by a company, and so even tho he deserved and was about to make it into r1se, he was forced to quit the show against his will right before the finale. (please feel free to correct me if im wrong) but he finally was able to make his own mv after the nightmare that was produce camp, and it’s beautiful!! please search 王晨艺 夜空彩虹 (Wang Chenyi Night Sky Rainbow) and watch it. even though I’m not super familiar with him, my basic understanding of him was that wang chenyi started out as a dance teacher before going on produce camp (so his dancing is super good and so satisfying to watch), and he had zero fans before the show, but his popularity organically skyrocketed (as a individual trainee with no company to support him) due to his talent and his easy-going, caring personality, always looking out for kids around him who needed help with dancing, and also befriending kids in lower ranks and who got less screentime, rather than just the popular kids, because it felt like he could connect with them more, as someone who started off from zero himself. very down-to-earth, hard-working, with undeniable skill, but with low self-confidence about his appearance (ugh seeing people compliment him for looking handsome in the mv just makes me so happy!! even tho he’s not conventionally handsome, he still captured my attention through the whole mv and i love it). he finally has his own mv and his dancing truly shines and the video itself so well-produced, it’s probably the one of the best cpop mv's ive seen, and im so happy for him!!
