In my head, Peng Deilan is Kenan’s magical sugar mommy and Wang Baixi is Kenan’s ‘Good at Financial Decisions’ sugar daddy.
Peng Deilan’s long life has led her to have several property under her name and ownership of some artifacts that can be sold for a lot. She has a lot connection with mythical Chinese beings and magical entities that are equally or more rich than her.
Wang Baixi is genuinely just a regular-ish guy who made himself go through all of this superhero and magic stuff. He’s not from a super rich family like the Wayne’s family but he is great at making financial investments and decisions, so he has money without the assistance of others.
Kenan is their bum and the recovering asshole of this friend group. His contribution is being Peng Deilan’s sparring partner and her excuse to not take up the hero leader role. As for Wang Baixi, Kenan is his free mechanic that he calls up when his Bat Car is not working well. Also, they are all genuine friends and they feel like a family with each other.
