my school did a walkout yesterday against ice. in my third hour class of 30 people, only 6 stayed behind. there were hundreds of students leaving the building in the middle of the day, my friend was giving out signs. my third hour teacher did not give a singular fuck about us leaving, he just wanted to know where we were and let us leave. my friends said that there was a huge noticeable chunk of students gone from their classes. on the march, there was just this ridiculously long line of kids as far as the eye can see, single file walking on the sidewalk. people cheered and shouted their support from their cars, this one lady was outside her house yelling about how proud she was of us for taking a stand. we chanted and walked and got the attention of the news, the mayor, everyone. people care, way more than we could ever really realize. it will be okay
I have nothing to add. 1,085 days left.
