Camouflage, so much of the.
Cochise County, Arizona, September 2024.
@xstage submitted: Was driving and found this lovely little man (or little lady?) clinging onto my side mirror for dear life!! I only noticed them when I was already on the highway (at which point I drove much slower and more carefully lol), luckily they made it safe and sound to my destination. Hope they're enjoying life where they are now!
I indeed got stick bugged lol
This was in southern New York State (within 45 minutes of NYC) if you want to ID.
GET STICK BUGGED. I'm glad they survived the highway trip. Must have been absolutely thrilling for something as slow-moving as a stick bug.
This fella is a male northern walkingstick :)

These guys are so fascinating. They're called Common Walkingsticks (also called Northern Walkingsticks). They're harmless to humans and pretty docile. More info on Common Walkingsticks will be in the description of this YouTube short.
