I went shopping finally. Itβs two weeks of the cast now, and Iβ m wondering what to do next.
My right leg didnβt touch touch the ground for the whole time. The foot position is so much down and inward that even when standing I simply canβt bear any weight on that foot. I could keep it for next 2 weeks - my daily crutching become βnormalβ.
Long leg cast is an option but with that foot position leg will be much longer that the βhealthyβ one. Plus it would be hard to justify what the cast is getting bigger, not smaller with time.
A walking device and keeping cast for next 4 weeks? That would be awesome. Cast is great and it attracts lots of attention - not only βwhat happenedβ but also βI never seen a cast of that shapeβ. But crutches and wheelchair only for next 4 weeks is bit too much. Is there any kind of brace or walking aid that I could use with this curved leg?
