#bookreview I seldom read fiction but this series was very addictive. 💃 ... The Themis files series by Sylvain Neuvel is a sci-fi thriller that i thoroughly enjoyed. Giant robots have long been an immense part of our pop culture now and this is what the main centre of the book is. Two giant robots from an alien planet wipe out almost half the population of the earth, but spares the other half. Why? Well that's a catch that you will get to know in the first part #sleepinggiants and It's very interesting I must say. In the second book, Rose Franklin, one of the protagonists, gets rid of the robots by a certain bioweapon plus learns how to operate the robot they aquired after the aliens leave. That you will come to know of, when you read #wakinggods. In the third book i.e #onlyhuman, the protagonists are transported to that alien planet when they are sitting inside the robot and spend 9 peaceful but restless years at the same time, as they are missing their home planet too much. They do come back after they steal one of the giant robot to teleport back, only to find our world in such disharmony that it's extent cannot be told briefly. This is a story of Rose Franklin, Vincent Couture and his daughter Eva, who struggle together to awaken the little of harmonious and peaceful feelings left in the world, to change it back to what it originally was. If you are into Sci-fi, this series will be a treat for you. I waited for 3 yrs to complete the entire series as Sylvain only released one book per year.
