This was a bit of a wild watch for someone whose game was covered by CozyTeaGames (and which subsequently got a little boost in sales)
The TLDW is that a lot of 'cozy game' creators on TikTok have been paid to promote games through a platform called Jestr, and haven't properly disclosed that they were doing paid ads.
Just to reassure anyone who might wonder, I definitely didn't pay for the review!
It's kind of interesting to have "insider knowledge" - I know that CozyTeaGames must legitimately buy, play and review some of the games featured on their TikTok, because I didn't even supply a free key I hate that the bad practices of these creators has now made all the developers they've covered potentially look sus.
