A variety of W212 series (E-Class) engine choices; 240-hp E250 CDI diesel, a 292-hp E350 with a gas V-6, or the V-8-powered 388-hp E500 and even the 518-hp bi-turbo V-8 from the E63 AMG.
The added length for the Xtend - which is not a hearse comes thanks to a 31.7-inch stretch in the chassis between the rear doors and the rear axle. 2 in. longer than Suburban in total length.
Mercedes-Benz aftermarket company Binz has created a super-long-wheelbase version of the E-Class wagon called the Xtend.
