Within the HOI4 community lies a vast amount of wacky, serious and all manners of content. While the initial vanilla game's task is to simply put you in charge of any nation during one of humanity's greatest challenges - World War 2 - and turn the tide into your favor; whatever 'favor' you are, enacting the alt history paths can turn your World War 2 experience into an odd, odd mix of problematic nations. The French can be couped into a communist regime as Britain empowers it's monarchy; Germany can flip democratic and serve as a better Western defender than any other - America... well, normally it doesn't do much until it's annoying as hell for them to do so. America's just the Sans of HOI4.
However; diving deeper as RNG becomes boring, some desire a deeper experience, one of lore or story.
While some may opt for sillier mods - Kaiserredux, for example, a port and wackier version of the more popular Kaiserreich: Legacy of the Weltkrieg, where Germany won World War One - some others wish to delve into darker timelines, reasons be for perverse curiosity or to realize that the timeline we actually live in is better than some others.
Enter The New Order: Last Days of Europe - a terrifying world where the Japanese managed to get their hands on the atomic bomb first and nuked Pearl Harbor - knocking America out of the war and resulting in an Axis victory. The Germans, with a successful Operation Sealion (naval invasion into Britain), established their regimes in Western Europe and turned to the East, fighting the Soviets - lead by someone other than Stalin, which means they did not have their strength to win. The Reich was pushed back after their initial conquering of the heavily populated areas - Moscow (Or Moskowien), Saint Petersburg/Leningrad (now Sankt Petersburg) and Stalingrad (now Paulusburg).
They sent hired warlords to go create chaos, but couldn't push any further, and they left the east of the Soviet Union to collapse, creating the Russian Anarchy - a collection of 20 or more states all claiming to be the true successor to Russia and each with their own unique ideologies.
I have only played one of these states, and while most people offered other events to coerce you into enjoying such lore, I stick to a simple, tragic tale I hold dear.
In the Vyatka lives and rules Tsar Vladimir III, a cousin of the Russian Empire's last Emperor who was killed during the Revolution - an event that did happen in our timeline before the OTL (Original Timeline) deviated.
He is a Tsar, though, without an Empire. Whether he will reclaim it is up to the player, though.
Have this short series of events that is, sadly enough, one of the less tragic things in TNO (do NOT play Burgundy do NOT play Burgundy do NOT play Burgundy).
More lore coming soon from other Universes.

OC-tober Zodiac Edition Day 14 On the road, the party met Vyatka the Ranger Centaur. She traded the party some filling stew for a few stories around the campfire. She enjoys traveling the open road meeting fellow adventurers and providing a warm meal for the night.
One of the four unfortunate horses purchased by our dnd party. Three little Vyatkas, one big white trotter. They immediately managed to get one of the ponies killed by forgetting to feed them for weeks, and all of them are named after members of the Habsburger dynasty.
