I think my biggest paragraph has been 3-4 pages typed times new roman size 12, single spaced... whoops
See, I have a bunch of really analytically oriented professors, and this one is also a professor that's about to retire, so he really doesn't care to read anything long at this point. You can tell he gets annoyed with paragraphs that go on for even half a page - which means he's regularly annoyed with my work. Oh well.
The same goes for footnotes - we're not even told if we're allowed to put footnotes in (I think it's looked down upon?) but I just started saying fuck it a couple of semesters ago and started putting them in. My natural tendency is for all this to be a lot longer though (brevity is not a skill of mine).

Oh, yeah, I didn't mean to sound like I was accusing you or anything, if that's how it came across. I'm speaking from a similar ignorance about Deleuze, so I totally understand. I've just seen people oppose 'Being' a lot, and it seems like it's because it's not 'becoming' or 'multiplicity' or some other term of non-identity. And oftentimes these statements start off by saying "In opposition to Heidegger, e.g.,..." which just seems disingenuous because because being is (phenomenally) non-identity for Heidegger. But, yeah, definitely not blaming your or anything.
