I only discovered Dashbored very recently but it’s made me laugh, cry, wallow in shame and simultaneously strive to be better. It’s a really incredible game and nothing has touched me quite like it! I wanted to try and put some of that love into an animation for everyone to see… go replay Dashbored and marvel at all the tiny details…..

Were the coven inherently evil or was adult vurrus just kind of an asshole
The Coven were very ambitious, to a fault, and their society saw the development of Distortion tech and magick as a major priority above all else, but they were not inherently evil. Most Coven were normal people, just from a society with different values than our own. They flew to close to the sun, and received punishment akin to the Tower of Babel.
Vurrus was brought to adulthood by Nash, though they most likely only saw her very rarely. In those periods, Nash would experiment on Vurrus, finding ways of using their naturally Distortion attuned body to attempt to saturate and collect the pieces of Temprocal and Damicelle's bodies. The eye in Vurrus' chest is indeed an implant placed their by Nash, to act as an artificial focal point and constrained chakra for such a task.
This treatment, along with the rhetoric that Nash would have been telling Vurrus along the way, is what led to Vurrus being the way that they are. By the time of DashBored, Vurrus has been twisted into a monster.
