31. Is there something you don’t know the meaning of but you haven’t asked anyone because you think it’s supposed to be general knowledge? Was there ever something you had to ask someone to explain? 

GOD I KNOW FOR A FACT THERE HAS BEEN IN THE PAST. LIKE FOR SURE FOR SURE, RIGHT........ i'm really bad with new slang acronyms especially, like it took me forever to learn what ymmv meant. LOL and those acronyms are also so embarrassing to ask ppl about bc i sound old. but like. this has been an issue since i was a teened Ager. SO MAYBE ITS JUST A SKILL ISSUE

35. Do you read other people’s threads or do you only read your own?

It’s another late night, pulling overtime at the desk filling out stupid fucking paperwork. Why didn’t anyone mention half the job of being a pro is turning into a shrimp at a desk. God he fucking hates this shit. What’s the point of their legal team?? Rubbing his bleary eyes, Katsuki lifts the report closer to his face trying to make sense of the letters blurring together.

Fuck, can’t read shit anymore. Slamming down the paper down, he rubs his face with both hands before stopping abruptly. The hair on his neck stands and his gut twists in warning. Dropping his hands from his face, tired red eyes grow alert as he looks around the office. He sees the open window by the time he turns back, his visitor is seated across from him. Dressed impeccably as always in his suits. His faces smooths out, shoving down his exhaustion and pulling out the last remnant of energy. Forcing his shoulders to lower, he crosses his arms over his chest, and arrogantly lifts his nose.

“And what the fuck are you doing here?” Oh he does not have the energy for this fucker’s mind games. Especially not after what he told him last time. What a fucking mistake to blurt out those stupid words. Stupid walls failed at their job and…and now look where he’s at.

Compromised.

Izuku’s silence begins to eat at his already frayed patience. He bites his tongue, seeing the pensive look in green eyes. The question is a stone in his stomach. Exhaling a breath to give himself a moment to sort through the reaction, he let’s Izuku stew in the silence he put him through.

Eventually he lets out a sigh, long and heavy. He drops his arms from his chest. Man he’s fucking tired. Maybe it wasn’t those fucking reports having him feel so low. Somehow his guard actually does it’s job, reminding him what’s at stake here. Don’t show all your cards it warns. Swallowing to battle the dryness in his mouth, he meets Izuku’s gaze again and responds.

“Depends. Are you actually ready for the fucking answer?”

THEY WERE STARING, ADMITTEDLY. the scar her eyes linger on is a nasty burn stretching across midoriya's shoulder and collarbone. at his permission, persephone's eyes flick up to his face for a moment, hesitant. if someone tried to touch the long gash across her throat, or the gruesome mass of torn scar tissue fusing her shoulders to her torso, she'd break their arm.

she's not sure what she's looking for, really. a lie? a trick? he isn't easy to read by any means, but — midoriya is putting his trust in her. so she lets her guard down, just a bit, to match.

There's a crooked smile on Tomura's face, one enough to make near-anyone who sees it shiver with dread. This man, this force of destruction who has stolen the lives of so many and sent their hopes crumbling into dust... is infamous enough that, after all, even a smile is enough to fill them with utter terror, a level of fear stronger than anything they've ever felt before.

Yet where some people feel fear... others feel hope. For the villains of the world, the name and face of Tomura Shigaraki means something very different than it does to the average man. Both hope and despair co-existing at once like that... it might feel like it should be impossible, yet to Tomura, it isn't strange at all. But what he's wondering about right now, more than anything else, is what it is that Izuku Midoriya is feeling when he looks at him in this moment. Is it anger and fear that fills his heart, or something else entirely? What does the face of Tomura Shigaraki mean to him?

"I bet you weren't expecting to see me again. It's been... a while, hasn't it?"

Although cold is all Blake feels, it feels even colder today. Maybe it isn’t just his brain playing with him, though. His fingers struggle slightly to move how they should. The laces on his arm brace were being particularly stubborn, too. Of course he didn’t want to ask for help. He was the prince, the one that can do anything. He could deescalate wars, fight and win in them, excel in almost everything… except excel or even apparently put on his own brace.

And put his hands up he does. Slowly, with relaxation reflecting in his eyes so clearly it borders offensive, and a smirk that can only mean one thing.

“Sure thing, sir,” the villain mocks, “Are you going to cuff me now?”

Present Mic has the other cornered, there's literally nowhere for him to run. And yet, the smirk, the relaxation - everything pings alarms in Mic's brain. There's unplayed cards on the field, something up the other's sleeve.
